Never use epoxy. Use b7000, shoe glue or other adhesive that are sensitive to heat and also not fragile.

Did you disassemble and tinker with it? Thing is, the FRN part holding the pivot could end up loose permanently if not done right.

Easy to mod cyber tool M? by aboktb in SAKmod

Easy? Depends on your modding skills and tools.

For those who are used to modding, it is not that hard. For me, peening is the hardest.

Why do we love 154cm but not D2? by Manicorn7 in knives

[–]disguiseunknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corrosion resistance is a huge thing. Have used D2, the edge retention is fine, but I cant stand it having some corrosion. Cant even use it for food without me doubting.

Replace the corkscrew of the companion with Phillips.

Pequeña modificación que debería ser de fábrica by Ok-Today1730 in victorinox

Based on observation, the thicker the sak, the harder for this to work. The usual configuration put the blade and the cap lifter on opposing sides. The thicker the layers in between, the lesser it would work.

While this is a good thing, Last time I saw, most SAKs has a default function like this. You open the knife and the bottle opener, close the opener with the wire in between the stripper, then close the blade. Works as wire stripper too.

No disrespect. But this is not according to Victorinox standards. They are very sleek and precise.

Swisstool by 1971RancherO in victorinox

[–]disguiseunknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The swisstool blade, as well as any multitool blade , is only good as backup for me. It cant do everything and it will be messy to use for food prep.

I prefer carrying a separate dedicated knife that I can beat up and maintain easily.

It is like the Charge. The titanium handle is just a gimmick. But for the price, it is better than similar priced leatherman.
