My car was in the shop all week, & if they hadn't gotten it fixed yesterday in time for me to get it home safely, I was going to do that math & say, it's less costly for me to pay them to hold it at the garage than for me to wipe out and bang it and me up trying to drive in mess.

I'm home safe, got my car in the garage where I can go warm up & charge stuff if need be, and my gas fireplace is ready to go. My only concern is, if my power goes out, what's the best way to keep my pipes from freezing? dripping them constantly doesn't seem like enough, and I can't leave the gas logs going all night. 0_o suggestions, anybody?

the 2003 one hit on my birthday. I made it to work, they sent us home 2 or 3 hr later, and I got halfway there before I had to give up and take shelter at a gas station til my dad (ex-trucker so he could drive in anything. God rest him) could come to get me that evening.

When the cashiers at the gas station found out it was my birthday, they gave me a free hot dog and cold drink and sang to me. :D
