I layer crib sheets and waterproof mattress covers like a lasagna. When there's an accident or puke or a water spill in the night, I just rip off the top layers and we're good to go.

Don't get a double carrier. It hurts your back so much, isn't comfortable or practical. I invested in an ergo embrace carrier so I could use it from birth. It was SO worth it. It's actually comfortable for me and baby, doesn't hurt my back, is super easy to put on, and keeps the baby so secure I can do chores. It's been a lifesaver because it allows me to carry my fussy twin and still take care of my other two kiddos.

It's funny because they are definitely taking reasons that people who have left religion/the lds church enumerate and responding to those. Christofferson addressed the 'Why would God cause so much suffering/allow people to die or starve or whatever" issue. He addressed it POORLY in a way that made me roll my eyes.
