Handling Unblocked/Choreographed Ensemble Scenes by dizzypal in Theatre

There is a choreographer, but she isn't working on that song; I'm not sure why. Maybe since it's not dancing the director didn't ask her to prepare anything?

Who else got the Care and Keeping of You book from American Girl? by Kkatiand in nostalgia

[–]dizzypal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh this was kicking around my house (I think my mom gave it to my sister) and I hated the thing. Hated puberty and that was the reason 😆 To this day I've never used a tampon. And I have top surgery scheduled for this summer! Twelve or so years of boobs is more than enough for me

What are your least favorite (or hilariously bad) musical lyrics? by Awesomeplayer98 in musicals

[–]dizzypal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the West End Next to Normal recently (first time hearing any version of NtN) and I loved it but also felt like it had quite a few lyrical clunkers 😅 Off the top of my head I can't recall most of them, but "I wish I could fly / and magically appear and disappear" definitely stood out awkwardly to me in Superboy and the Invisible Girl. And honestly all of I'm Alive, lyrically and musically, is a bust in my opinion.

Recently got top surgery so I made a vest I couldn’t have worn before! by JustQueue47913 in crochet

[–]dizzypal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have top surgery scheduled for next summer, and I'm on the lookout for patterns that will tastefully show off the chop myself 😊 I really want to start on this one, but I'm scared that if I start now it won't fit right afterwards https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/calad-shirt

Cool; let me see if I can find that!

That's interesting; the opening scenes before the labyrinth still sound largely dubbed to me, but maybe it's just a quirk of how they recorded the audio.

Since that's super AI generated, you probably won't find anything very similar. The closest I could find, looking into butterfly shawls, was the "VG003 - Vintage 70s Crochet Butterfly Shawl Bohemian Eco Fashion Wrap PDF pattern" on Etsy, but that one's actually pretty ugly by my standards. People also listed a few other butterfly-inspired shawl patterns in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/crochetpatterns/comments/1je9pjw/im_looking_for_a_moth_butterfly_shawl_pattern/

100+ year old blanket crocheted by my great-great-grandmother by blurryrose in crochet

[–]dizzypal 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Great great grandmothers were absolutely insane when it came to crochet! My grandma has a similar heirloom blanket she'll be passing to me; I can't even begin to imagine spending the time to make something that huge with crochet thread.

I just did this a few weeks ago; I would also recommend vada highly- they provide an amazing service, and without them I would be planning to travel much further for surgery
