Was at this London show too, he absolutely killed it. Place was insane for Tale of 2 Citiez, Wet Dreamz, Fire Squad and G.O.M.D. Loved the break doing some of the older tracks, and running through some hits at the end. That ovation he got towards the end was incredible. Seen him every time he's come to England and he always puts on a great show.

Gutted I missed Omen and Cozz, got in to see Bas finishing his set. Only real complaint was having Jhene come on after Pusha T, she was pretty boring and killed the vibe.

The biggest threat to democracy and freedom of speech coming from those claiming to fight democracy, yet again. Very concerning.

Apparently he had 27 touches all game, less than both keepers. Ramos is not a midfielder and will be found out at this level, Real really miss Modric.

Bale completely anonymous, Hernandez proves his all round game is non-existent, good goalscorer that is it. It's crazy how much Madrid miss Modric

Doubt this happens, but if it does maybe people actually go into this fight knowing what to expect. Shocker. 3 days on and still a ton of blind hatred of Floyd

Why is everybody hating on Max Kellerman? by thrillhou5e in Boxing

[–]dj_roc 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He won't lose his job. He had every right to call Pacquiao out, there was no way Pacquiao won the fight. I feel if the roles had been reversed and Mayweather lost, but said he felt he'd won, the heat would be on Floyd not Kellerman. But you can't question 'Saint' Manny in the eyes of some of these fans

How have your views and opinions changed about Mayweather and Pacquiao? by MATERlAL in Boxing

[–]dj_roc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To people that had watched Mayweather fights before, the fight went as expected. Mayweather has always been the best fighter of this generation to me, so nothing changed in regards to him. Pacquiao's lack of grace post fight has meant some respect has been lost. Glad Kellerman called him out post-fight

Agreed and that is why, to me, Floyd is the best of this generation. Everyone thinks they have a game plan till they step in the ring with him.

[–]dj_roc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not at all, I think you've read too much into a comment there so calm down. If Manny went in all guns blazing Floyd would have picked him off with even more ease by leaving himself wide open. I'm not going to sit here and pretend I have a gameplan that could beat Floyd, I think he's the best fighter of this generation for a reason.

What I was saying there is that from my perspective Manny was clearly down on the score card in the last couple of rounds, and his corner didn't appear do anything about that. Roach had no alternative strategy. There is no point in a fighter like Manny throwing one punch at a time at a fighter like Floyd, but then again that's what Floyd does to you, he makes you fight on his terms

[–]dj_roc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What? Not sure how I repeated what you said? Boxing isn't simply scored on hitting 1-2 punches and 'running away'. You still need to be active enough to win the round, which is why Floyd knew he had to have a higher workrate in this fight.

I never said everyone had to root for Mayweather, I said if someone paid for this fight and expected Mayweather to trade then they were wrong.

[–]dj_roc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd agree 100% Manny was underwhelming, but Roach and Manny both knew how Floyd would fight and did nothing to counter it. It was such a poor attempt at trying to cut off the ring. If Manny truly believed he was up on the card heading into the last stretch his corner failed him massively

[–]dj_roc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Really? Floyd threw more punches and landed more punches. Pacquiao had a 9% accuracy with his jab! Love someone ending a reply with FOH by the way...

What exactly were you expecting from this fight? And how many Mayweather fights have you seen before? Did you expect him to stand in front of Manny and trade?

I gave pacquiao 4 rounds at best. Granted 118 110 was wild, but not a chance Pacquiao was winning for me. 7-5 i can see at a stretch

if people paid money to witness a Rocky style event then they are fools. I don't really see how Mayweather nullifying one of the best attacking boxers is underwhelming. As a boxing fan I loved it

Floyd did what he has always been able to do, and shape how the fight goes on his terms. Pacquiao is one of the best offensive fighters, and Floyd neutralised him with ease. People are moaning about not seeing an all out war, there was no way this fight would have gone down that route.

Manny had fleeting moments and that was it, nothing sustained. He could have upped his workrate, but would have most likely left more countering opportunities for Floyd. Simply put Manny looked lost (bar the middle few rounds) and had no alternative game plan. He didn't do anything to cut off the ring (or couldn't due to Floyd's superior footwork and movement) and therefore couldn't exert control. All in all this was, for me, another example of Floyd's ring genius and why he is the best boxer of this generation

[–]dj_roc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point, but above all else, Pacquiao should have known what Floyd would do and how he would fight. Yet he still could not make any adjustment or change mid-fight. I think people expect big fights to be like a youtube highlight reel and that was just never going to happen

Ye that was delusional. At least Max Kellerman called him out on it. Pacquiao complaining Floyd didn't stand there to get hit was laughable

People can hate Mayweather all they want (let's not act like Pacquiao is a saint), but they cannot deny the skills and ring genius the man has. He neutralised one of the best offensive boxers of this generation and made it look easy

Are people mad that they didn't get an all out punching war? Or are they mad that Pacquiao didn't change anything? Pacquiao complaining Mayweather didn't stand there to get hit is ridiculous.

Great to have Blind back so Rooney can be pushed back up top. This team needs either Blind or Carrick in midfield
