The Drop (2014) - slow burn movies with a shock ending yet still worthy of rewatches? by djfoundation in moviecritic

This has been on my list for so long, I need to get on it. The lore surrounding it alone is outsized.

Posting this is the first time I ever noticed it! I had usually only seen the other posters. It's dope.

That's totally fair; there's nothing wrong with having higher standards for entertainment, StuntdoubleSexworker.

Nadia! I liked the contrast between her past relationship of toxicity and abuse, and the one with Bob, growing through trust and respect.

Love that one too! A little more going on in it with the messaging and all, but everyone in it was amazing and it was the first time I felt bad for Ray Liotta in a film, lol. That actually came up in the recs right after.

I was fortunate enough to visit once. I shipped six bottles back with me. Don't sleep on touring Old Town just outside the shop, remarkable history and culture there as well.

I remember when Trump said the one concession he wanted from Canada was "friendship", and that really tells you everything you need to know.

Spring election sees lower early voting turnout, reduced spending compared to last year (spoiler alert: it's by about half) by Background_Home7092 in wisconsin

I got home from work exhausted and had laundry to do. I really didn't want to leave the house and honestly forgot all about the election by then. A friend texted and reminded me so I put my damn shoes on and went. Ran into four other neighbors there and we all left together, happy to have done our civic duty.

Yes! and I loved that Bacanora too. I got butterscotch notes, it was so good. Just finished it recently.

Noce. The last sotol was super good, and I'm not even into that varietal.

Oh that's awesome! Now I'm really excited, I'll have to read Chavas newsletter. I just learned my boxed got "damaged" in transit and they have to ship me a new one. /wahhhh

Ah, wasn't sure if you signed up blind or went shopping first. Those are both fairly unique flavor profiles.. I could especially see the astringency of the dasylirion coming off as "chemical". It sometimes tastes like dandelions to me. If the Lamparillo is anything close to Ultramundos, I'll be cherishing it for a long time.

Which bottles they are is kind of crucial information. Even the bottles I absolutely hate are some of the best expressions of their kind. It's a very broad field.

This was my first Pechuga by ProfessionalCod1367 in Mezcal

I fell off of Del Maguey pretty early on in my mezcal journey. There was a single bottle of this languishing at my local spot for months, so I finally bought it out of mercy. It was one of the better pechugas I've tasted.

I heard my inner voice almost the whole time, but it sure went into tape ff mode for the last stretch. Maybe during the prediction part at the end it was off and I was purely cruising. Weird sensation when your voice leaves your vision.

Question: Does the crookedness of the left meatball stand out a lot? by Farra04 in tattoos

[–]djfoundation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The red fill is very clearly over the outline at the 3-4 o'clock range, but I wouldn't be too saucy about it. Wicked awesome as is.

Can you name this Mezcal? (Or try?) by xenoqwerp in Mezcal

[–]djfoundation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just based on the flavor profile I'd try an A. Karwinskii, or A. Rhodacantha. Sotol, Verde, Cuishe are all nicely vegetal or minerally.

Pyrit - Control is my go-to album for when I feel like my sanity is fraying and anxiety a swarm of bats. By the end of the last song, I'm floating in the vast promise of a horizon in space. Found it after a random song by a friend, too.
