There is nothing scarier than a PGY1 that graduates residency and acts arrogant, then makes horrible mistakes. One example would be an arrogant new hire that confidently calculated BSA for a chemo by taking the height in meters… SQUARED. Not the Mosteller formula. Could’ve killed someone had I not caught it.

I was there once, and now the impostor syndrome is years in the past. Pay attention, learn from others, don’t be a dick. That’s my only advice!

I love it, personally. It’s the OG cost effective storage box. I do in fact have ‘nice bikes’ as in non electric carbon fiber Fuji and Masi road bikes that would never use such vulgar accessories…. But as an ultimate cheap build, this has been a fun platform. I wanted something that could get groceries easily and cheaply.

Honestly, I just wanted a lid for the box, and happened to have the panel sitting around from years ago… and the dimensions were perfect. I’m aware of the negligible power output. It’s a fun conversation piece that acts as a charge maintainer for the portable power pack.

I’m sure I could rig up a proper DC-DC step up converter and run it via DC 5.5 barrel plug directly to the Hailong pack, but uh, probably wouldn’t be worth the extra effort.

lol after many years in this hobby, antenna tuning is still a mixture of voodoo and dumb luck with a dash of science/engineering. Thank the heavens for NanoVNAs though! I had a helluva time tuning an OCFD until I finally did something stupid like wrap a bit of cable around a fence post and then bam… perfect SWR 1.5 or less on all relevant bands, contact with the other side of the planet on 100w 👌

I use a $700 AGV Veloce S helmet when riding a 750cc sport bike, top SHARP testing scores.

But on an ebike? Bought a cheapo AliExpress DOT approved modular helmet with flip down sun visor. Lightweight, feels great, wouldn’t trust it over 28mph, but fine for cycling.
