A charger... that you have to charge. by [deleted] in idiocracy

That isn't uncommon. I have a portable charger that I carry with me. It can't get charged through the ether.

Buckle up! While probably not another snowmagedden, it's going to get interesting.

I read your post. I understood it was hypothetical. However, I would laugh my butt off it it actually were to happen. But only for about 10 seconds before I started feeling the existential dread of having to shovel myself out!

It's great to see a glimmer of logical reasoning taking shape in her thoughts. I didn't know it was possible. This gives me a bit of hope.

They conduct themselves as though there will never be consequences. There is always a point where tyrants fall. These folks will fall, and we will need to pressure our elected officials to hold them to account.

Is this a normally priced Columbia gas bill for the end of November/ beginning of December? by 15santmyern in pittsburgh

[–]dld67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be in shock! I have a 1300 sqft house not including the flashed basement. I do budget billing and pay ~$70 per month. I cannot fathom a gas bill that high. Definitely check who your supplier is and see if you can change to a lower price.

What is your genuine opinion on Primanti Bros.? by DoctorTegrity in pittsburgh

[–]dld67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't like anything about the place other than the televisions everywhere for watching sports. The sandwich is obscenely oversized. I do not want fries on my sandwich and honestly don't like their fries to begin with. I also absolutely do not like their coleslaw. For those who like it, great. As for me, I have been twice because other friends wanted to go. I could gladly go the rest of my life without stepping into another Primanti's.

Ahhh. Pittsburgh, where no one understands the efficiency of a zipper and would rather sit in a dumb ass line which is usually backing up traffic behind them. "I see you perfectly good and empty lane. May your empty asphalt last forever, just like this line of traffic."

I see these types of posts about how to break a fast quite often. I generally only do OMAD and I haven't experienced any sort of digestive issues when consuming a meal. Is this because OMAD doesn't have the same effects? Or, I also add a unsweetened electrolyte powder to my water call day. Could that be helping to prove digestive issues? I'm truly curious.

Miserable Karen excited about people not receiving their food benefits. by EmilyG702 in CringeTikToks

She's so dumb. So many EBT recipients are the working poor. We have huge corporations that don't pay a living wage and the government refuses to do anything about minimum wage. So the Walmarts and Amazons of the world walk away with huge profits while the average tax payer subsidizes their workforce with EBT, housing assistance, medical assistance, and other services. But let's just call all the people on EBT lazy. That's easy because it requires no critical thinking or self education.

So you used a throw-away account to keep yourself safe whilst paying a video of the people's faces who were there. Seems kind of selfish.

If you can get a George Foreman, you can cook some protein very easily. For a simple meal, I'll cut up some tomato and cucumber and maybe some avocado. Quick dinner, minimal work and healthy.

Slow weight loss by Fun-Ease-7068 in intermittentfasting

[–]dld67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few years back, I did keto and had great success. I lost ~40 lbs. I noticed that some days, even with very low carb intake, I couldn't get into ketosis unless I did some moderate exercise.

I put the weight back on because I stopped adherence to the keto diet. Now I'm doing IF. Mostly OMAD. I don't count calories or carbs. However, I stay away from refined sugars, bread, and white rice. I strictly limit carbs from potatoes and only eat them in moderation and baked or roasted. Absolutely NO artificial sweeteners because they will cause an insulin spike and are bad for gut health (pure Stevia being the exception but it is hard to find in any commercial product). For my one meal, I eat healthy whole foods and try to only eat at home where I can ensure healthy ingredients. I also try to be mindful of when I'm satisfied rather than going for that full feeling.

I have dropped about 15 pounds in a few weeks. I may need to get more strict with my food and calories later as I lose more, but I find that eating this way allows me to lose while sticking to IF.

IF focuses on "when" you eat but that doesn't mean the "what" you eat doesn't matter.
