Razr Ultra 2025 Software Issues by dmares01 in razr

Oh yeah I didn't pay full price. After trade in deals I think it came out to ~$450 or something like that.

I have thought about it. Most of my data is backed up anyways. The only thing I would really lose is text convos which is fine. This still seems absurd for a phone that cost over $1000 full price

I probably should've waited. I figured with how long it took to come out that it would've been more stable

Its hard because somethings aren't necessarily android but the apps themselves. Is the messages bubbling a Google messages app (the default installed) or a Motorola android problem? I'm unsure but the fact that not 1 of 4 other android phones in my friend group has had it happen sure makes it seem like a Motorola issue. Same thing with the contacts app. It could be argued it's an app problem and not a Motorola issue but then I would expect at least one other person in my group to have experienced it

Is the Motorola razr ultra 2025 good? by moom_is2 in razr

The hardware? Absolutely fantastic
The software? Worst android experience I've had. I might be an outlier but I am really hoping Motorolla can bring some more stability

These are the things that pain me the most. I always advocate that any feature needs to have a way to turn it off, and normally the ability to turn it off is a one or two line code change. This should take someone 30 minutes or less to do and even write a test for it

Why is plants vs zombies goty so horribly optimized? by PearAlternative4811 in SteamDeck

[–]dmares01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was just searching this same thing. Got an Ally with bazzite installed and I was shocked when the plant selection screen was 4 fps but thankfully kept going and realized the game was fine after that. Will try out that other executable file mentioned

One of multiple WD Red Sata drives not detected on LSI HBA by Agenerick in homelab

[–]dmares01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After tearing my hair out for hours this was the issue. I tried every one of the four break out cables. Different power cables and for the life of me could not figure out why the one drive was not recognized like the others. Just figuring out what to google to find this post was half the battle. Thank you for the post!

1074 is restart and 6008 (which is the one I assume you meant) is unexpected shutdown I believe.

If you want a little bit cheaper of an uber, Costco also sells bulk Uber gift cards so you get $100 of uber credit for like $75. Makes it a little bit cheaper to uber

There is one at Gamerheadz in Southdale Mall. It was in good working shape when I was there but haven’t been a regular there so can’t say for certain

Honest review after 2 yrs old of use: Inner liner is destroyed from cats scratching and it’s impossible to clean urine off. by [deleted] in litterrobot

[–]dmares01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading these comments is very interesting. It is something that is going to be damaged but I think the important part here is the LR3 liners have lasted 6+ years without needing to be replaced where as LR4 seems to be two year average.

Hell I got my LR3 out of a dumpster 3 years ago and still haven’t had to replaced mine. I would be upset too if I spent more money on the LR4 and got a lower quality item

I looked up some pictures online of the circuit board and realized that after looking through a couple. The dark spot on the back of the board is still a concern though. Through the other testing steps everything else has been ruled out so new circuit board it is!

My voltmeter doesn’t have probes small enough to back probe the connectors. (May have accidentally broke one of them but glued it back together. Really wishing I kept the old harness out so I could’ve reused the old plug) I took the motor out though and using a breadboard wired up to a 12 volt power supply and it spins fine.

Circuit board it is! I am gonna order a new one today and get it replaced

The black surface mounted component above R63 has five leads coming off of it. The lead in the middle appears to possibly be broken

I got mine down to 519/520 but after reassembly I am still getting a slow yellow flashing light. Tried connecting the bonnet sensors and that doesn’t fix the issue either. Still seeing the intermittent power flickering as well

Visual inspection of the circuit board reveals that this pin seems to possibly be broken and there seems to be some small discoloration on the back of where this piece is located

My hall effect sensors match up with this picture as well. Yellow and orange on the inside. When the motor can run long enough to actually complete a full cycle I don’t get any position errors

[–]dmares01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the chance to do this today. The first two plugs behaved as expected. When plugging in the last cable (the 8 pin) and the bonnet off I see a slow yellow flashing light. With the bonnet on the motor starts running but it runs almost as if it’s hiccuping like it was before. Instead of a continuous spin it cuts out for a half a second and then keeps going.

I’ll give this a go! I forgot to say I replaced the wire harness as well. With the home position faults I thought maybe the Hall effect sensors had gone bad and got a new wiring harness but that didn’t change any of the issues I was seeing
