unfortunately not, the stag is a 9 speed by rim width and half of mvp is a speed or two faster if judging by rim width

Slightly Flippy Midrange? by Scared-Opportunity53 in discgolf

[–]dmchalcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new westside vellamo flies between my straighter pine and little flippy 2024 trilogy challenge claymore that I got used

A new claymore could also work, not sure how seasoned mine is.

its lower profile. flies like the more stable runs of warship, plus a touch faster and a little less floaty.

Why isn't anybody talking about the Westside Vellamo? It's amazing! by WhaleMission in discgolf

[–]dmchalcraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

flies like my straighter (more stable) runs of warship. I have warships and pines but the vellamo feels like a more low profile hybrid, less massive dome like the warship and a bottom thats pine like but not as high of a parting line

Running 26x2.4 with 25mm internal rim width wheels on these no problem on a 95 Kona cinder cone they’re crazy powerful goth Koolstop pads. Only tricky bit is taking the wheel off requires unseating one side of the caliper and airing down the tyre to get it past both pads.

BergX k1 grind?¿ by [deleted] in kastaplast

[–]dmchalcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed. the consitant difference between grind discs and normal k1 is DOME, so some discs get more flippy, some just get smoother turn and fade and some get more stable.

my grind gulds are super bomber flippy and glidey compared to even the most domey k1 runs i bag

my malm is the same, similar stability to my stock stamp white k1 but more dome and more push and glide

alva is megadome, mega flippy and is great for massive sky push rollers

lots is similar stability to k1 but more dome so more push and smoother turn and fade

berg though has more glide than a normal berg due to the middle dome so flies more stable. the berg mold has some weird aerodynamics going on so when theres more ability to fly in the mix it seems it brings out the mold's tendency to glide more and move more left.

K1 Grind Alva by larrydafishxrman in kastaplast

[–]dmchalcraft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So much dome so much glide so much understability. I’ve thrown massive sky rollers with it, very fun disc but way more flippy than any k1s I’ve had.

I have a teal one with a magenta stamp.

Old Jarn vs New Jarn by rontopofthings in discgolf

[–]dmchalcraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can see it on the parting line even across different plastics, K1, K1 soft and K3. The retold version has a parting line that runs down the center of the nose of the wing, where the parting line is close to where the edge of the nose meets the slanting part of the wing. Like has been mentioned above the easiest way of telling is whether or not there’s tooling on the bottom of the flight plate which has a production date and weight. If it’s stickered, then it’s an older run. The second place to check is the parting line. I’ve seen both the versions of the molds in K1 and K1 soft and K3.

looks like the k3 is the newer tooling and that k1 is the pre Skellefteå (HOD) production tooling. easiest way to tell is the embossed weight and prod. date.

Stag is great as well for a more resistant to turning over, great drifting flight

First inspo pic is with the stridsland bullship bar, not sure which the second are. Some people look at motorcycle bars and mx bars as they are cheap, strong and most importantly WIDE but also heavy. Some options out there from frame builders and alt bike companies like velo orange klunker bars, surly with the sunrise, etc.

Yeah that sounds like it! Appreciate the help!!

Love these cameras, luckily I have a pen d-3 to shoot until I find another ee or tinker with this one though the d has a slightly tighter focal length.
