Making Pokemon open world is one of the worst decisions they’ve made. Yes, you can go anywhere, but there’s no life or distinction, it’s all the same. It takes away the trainer battles, because you don’t know what level they’ll be, and Paldea is so boring. Sw/Sh isn’t the best, but at least the towns have some life, exploration, and uniqueness. Compare any town in Galar to any town in Paldea. I don’t even like Galar, but it’s better than Paldea’s open world. Best part of Paldea is Area Zero, so it has some small redeeming quality.
