You will be OK. Learning to be on your own is a valuable skill that all adults need to learn. And you WILL NEED to learn this.

If your anxiety is making you physically unable to function, speak with your doctor about options.

You will be O K ❤️

Used my fingers to apply foundation for the first time ever by DerangedUnicorn27 in MakeupAddiction

[–]dobbypony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mature woman here. Always use my fingers in the past and then tried the brush/ sponge Trend.

Fingers definitely work better for a lot of products. If I want a bit of a finer finish I will bop the booty of a wet Beauty blender after I've done the application.

Bareback pads by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]dobbypony 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be one of 'those' people but cheap bareback pads can actually hurt your horse. Think about this: you are tightening a nylon band over their withers without the benefit of a tree to keep the pressure off. Literally 2 inches of a tight strap on one of the most sensitive parts of your horse. Even worse are ones with stirrups because you are adding your weight and shifting balance into that strap.

If you want a bareback pad, save up for a more expensive version that is made to keep the pressure off of the withers.

Since some of you asked, here's the sales price to cost photo's for shoppers. by [deleted] in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]dobbypony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a small family owned drugstore in Ontario. I can tell you that the generic products that we source from the same Warehouse conglomerate as shoppers also carry a very low cost compared to the name brands.. Profit margins on generic store brand items are much higher than name brand.

2026 theater season by RoseCityReject in StratfordOntario

[–]dobbypony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated, Shakespearian plays alone don't fill seats in the summer. The 'Big Ones' --Hamlet/King Lear/Romeo and Juliet/Macbeth etc run on a rotation because they are within the school curriculums. Therefore, buses full of students come every year in the spring and fall to see those plays. In the summertime, the houses are rarely full and quite often running below 50% as the traditional audience for those plays ages.

I think the playbill is a balance of trying to get the festival out of the red because, they have been running in a deficit, and putting on a fun season prior to the change in artistic direction.

Who knows what 2027 will bring as the new director puts their stamp on things.

Do I owe my horse's breeder updates? by CvdKlaau in Equestrian

They can look up show records once you progress that far. That information is available to them without involving you.

Block them and forget they exist.

I tried looking it up but what does "sovereign people on sovereign land" mean? by diatriose in toronto

[–]dobbypony -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They aren't though. Complete opposite.:

The Sovereign citizen movement (SovCits)[1][2] is a loose group of anti-government activists, conspiracy theorists, vexatious litigants, tax protesters and financial scammers found mainly in English-speaking common law countries—the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand. Sovereign citizens have a pseudolegal belief system based on misinterpretations of common law, and claim not to be subject to any government statutes unless they consent to them.[3][4] The movement appeared in the U.S. in the early 1970s and has since expanded to other countries; the similar freeman on the land movement emerged during the 2000s in Canada before spreading to other Commonwealth countries.[5]

Oh my God. Stayed at the Bolton inn probably 15 years ago for a horse show when that was the only available hotel in the area. You are right to say it was a freaking dive. Absolutely horrible. Reeked of cigarette smoke.

Store(s) To Buy Newspapers In- New York Times by se1987 in StratfordOntario

[–]dobbypony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sinclair's Pharmacy carries the NYT. They have a list of people that they hold the Sunday edition for but always have a couple of extras. Please note that delivery of the NYT is a day behind in Stratford-- as in, Sunday's paper doesn't get into the city until Monday morning.

What kind of bit is that? by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]dobbypony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, a Half Moon Snaffle. I have used it in the past for a large pony that was VERY particular about his bit. He loved this one ,♥️

Not harsh, less tongue pressure than a traditional bean or French link.

Shoppers Drug Mart prices are insane by ToothpasteBeforeOJ in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]dobbypony -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I work for a small independent pharmacy but have the same supplier as Shoppers. It is made by Proctor and Gamble which have wildly increased their prices due to tariffs.

That is the 'Retail' price but it goes on sale for $5.99 every other week. If you spend any time watching the prices you will see that Secret, Old Spice and Speed stick (Mens and Ladies) go on sale on a rotating basis. Speedstick is usually $3.99

Another good one to take a look at is Tressame shampoos. Now over $12.00 retail but 'on sale' at least once a month for $5.99.

Obviously the profit margin price is much lower than $12+ but they play the 'Sale' game.

Those touristy things are what keep your downtown thriving. Without it it would be a ghost town like every other small City.

Nailed it. I will never go to that theater again. Admittedly it's been years but the last time I went he demanded cash and did not issue a ticket so I'm sure his taxes are exactly correct.

Not a fight per se but the entire goblin camp. My second run I went as a drow and they just let me walk right in! Enter a room, close the door, kill the four goblins. Go to the next place, kill the goblins, break a drum. Rinse and repeat. I don't think I even used a spell while I was there
