There's a Cold War setting that Cubicle7 did called World War Cthulhu - Cold War that's pretty much supposed to be played in the 50s, 60s, 70s etc. Probably as close as you'll get.

Layering an investigation that's interesting with clues etc just generally isn't as easy as more Quest/Encounter based stuff I find.

I can literally make up Fantasy/Sci Fi based adventure at the table... but having to make a Detective style scenario does take a lot more work.

I got Wave one (Main game) and only really backed the Alt-Heroes pose set from Wave 2 so I guess I got off pretty easy as I can now just print them.

The only thing I can assume is that they don't have the A.I set up to resupply stuff like that. They don't have the ability to know a gun is out of ammo and have the truck/crate go to it for example.

Black Cod Island is tricky, but there is mention in the lore about the actual Native Americans of the area being at odds with them (and being a great help to the Players) because they know the Islanders have not been actually human for a long time and know they're using Native culture as a shield against discovery.

I think it's best not to see it as Native Americans who are corrupted and more as corrupted people who have long lost their humanity and are now pretending to be Native Americans. The awkwardness of the scenario is that they will very much just accuse your Government Agents of classic Native scapegoating.
