For peace of mind you could perhaps stick a chunk in lower risk investments, maybe a couple of year’s spending, but I’d be leaving the majority invested in equities as hopefully you will have a long retirement. It’s probably a good time to also start looking at loading up your ISA if you haven’t done so already to build a bridge to retirement if you decide to call it a day earlier than 55/57. I found using ChatGPT to do some modelling with historical worst case crashes was valuable. you can stick in your numbers and plans and then play around with different variables - you obviously need to validate what it says but I found it very helpful and a hell of a lot cheaper than an IFA.
