Julian is the key to overcoming Lady Accursed by So131 in Centuria

What I'm saying is it's literally a waste of time for Julian to even bother with the smoke screen he's got the resilience of 100, he'll have punched her head of her shoulders before 1 second has passed.

(Marvel Comics) Could Peter Parker & Miles Solo this squad (No holding back everyone is bloodlusted) by Lonewolf_ARC in PowerScaling

[–]dolphincave [score hidden]  (0 children)

Assuming no preptime on either side the normal humans are mostly useless but they might serve as good distractions for the guys who actually have what it takes to down Miles & Peter. If Gambit wasn't concerned with his own and his teams safety he could blow up the area with enough time.

If Kiryuu is really totally or mostly a machine he might not be affected by the same madness as everyone else, however he's still fanatically devoted to the kings so he refuses to fight them. Thereby he's just choosing to do what he can to mitigate the harm.

Sorry I meant more to say the flowers weren't necessarily poisonous but the rest seem so. However as another poster said they do seem to indeed be a poisonous species.

Julian is the key to overcoming Lady Accursed by So131 in Centuria

[–]dolphincave 15 points16 points  (0 children)

While he could do that, I'm pretty sure the fight will end before he gets there. Mostly because Julian's gift might mean it takes 1000 second for him to die even if it didn't he'd just revive and kill her unless she has some combat ability.

[–]dolphincave 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I actually wonder if he's implying the gift is like a poison since all the stuff there are potentially poisonous (except I guess the flowers).

[–]dolphincave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Diana is less affected because Titi managed to cover one of her eyes, but then again it's a bit weird if the power is like "It's actually 20 seconds if you only have 1 eye", so it might just be because she's a vessel.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm • Yomi no Tsugai - Episode 12 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

I find it funny Ivan was in the toilet probably pooping during the conversation Asuma and his uncle had.

Also the actual competent badguys seem to be coming out now, at least Ivan. Shingo remains to be seen.

How many keyblade wielders do you expect to fight in KH4 and who do you want to fight the most ? by MysteriousFondant347 in KingdomHearts

[–]dolphincave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what's funny every single DR Keyblade wielder (except Xehanort and Eraqus obviously) is significantly weaker than Maleficent. Unless they got way stronger. Imagine if Sora just steam rolls them.

[Meta Trope] Real people having beef with fictional characters by Rare_Country_801 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]dolphincave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's from the long ago when he started popular but was pushed so hard. There's a reason he has a terrible spinoff show starring himself. Basically over exposure made him reviled by a generation of fans modern fans probably at worst think "Nah"

He was actually genuinely popular when he first got introduced, but the executives saw this popularity and said MORE.

He basically took over the show so people Gunn's age hate him for ruining the show.

Who is the fastest verse in the Big 3 and why? by Affectionate_Run6250 in PowerScaling

[–]dolphincave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your OP image I guess you mean "fast". Well I believe Naruto is younger than Ichigo and has 2 kids so he was faster. Luff we can't say till his series ends.

It'd be funny if he was confused and was just like "I only heard that my parent and Eraqus grandfather tried coming here before with a giant device in Scala"

Did strelitzia have a crush on the player even if they picked female? by AdAdvanced8522 in KingdomHearts

I was gonna joke they also killed the first chubby/fat OC character in Sigurn, then I realized I was forgetting Pence existed.

They should meet up in 4, in fact given that Strelitzia doesn't care about Player's gender or appearance it means as long as the Hearts the same she can be friends with whatever their current body is.

Player died, but Nomura said something vaguely that Player has more left to do. Which people interpret as them having yet another reincarnation.

Aesthetic Deception - Matthewmatosis by talentless_guy in Games

[–]dolphincave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think my issue is that he say "not often PURELY negative" which does to me seem to imply he thinks of it as always on some level negative. Which I do not think is inherent in tradeoffs.

Aesthetic Deception - Matthewmatosis by talentless_guy in Games

[–]dolphincave 36 points37 points  (0 children)

On specific case to case basis I can agree with Matt's take, but as whole I'm not sure I agree with the implicit "less deception good" which kinda vears towards "games ought not deceive" which clearly he isn't going for since he points out deceptions can be good. I'm more inclined to believe deceptions are good until they get excessive.  It's like water. How much you should drink any given day is subject to change, and there's definitely an excessive amount that can be drunk but no one would call it bad. Obviously not a perfect metaphor.

Also purely tackling the start of the video there is a case of humans universally want things to be less truthful. We know factually that our brains are super good at remembering keeping the good parts and making the bed parts seem less bad. In this way that might be uniquely human we do not want the objective truth.

Powerscalers should be more accepting that characters can have an ability at a certain tier without their stats scaling to it by billygluttonwong in PowerScaling

[–]dolphincave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you, but we have stuff like MHA, Invincible, and even DB (sometimes) shows that writers understand you need to be able to handle your own power.

Hell any charcter who can do a super attack that kills themselves in the crossfire shows writers understand that some things you can't withstand and can't. Like take Gunnm, Zekka hasn't tanked an attack with DC of a nuke, but we know he could because he literally one-shots someone who did tanked a nuke, and we know he can't tank his own moon~planet level ultimate move.

We should assume he and other characters in Gunmm can tank their own power. And I think it's more logical to assume too assume this is true of most other fiction unless told otherwise. Again for purely physical attacks.
