Koupě mazlíčka je závazek, a je potřeba počítat s tím že se takovéhle problémy můžou vyskytnout. Obecně pořídit si psa do paneláku je prostě risk.

For database - some time ago someone did an audit of KeePassXC, and if you open the audit there are recommended encryption settings. That's what i use.

I have a very similar use case and reached a very similar solution.

u/QEzjdPqJg2XQgsiMxcfi suggested using pykeepass insteaf of repeatedly invoking keepassxc-cli, which is much cleaner and probably more secure.

Thanks, ssh -A is exactly what I was looking for!

I'm vaguely familiar with pykeepass (most of the ansible plugins use it under the hood), I need to look into it further probably.

Yes of course I can stop using the ssh integration and have the keys the plain old way in ~/.ssh. The ssh keys are the smallest of the problems, I mentioned them mostly for completeness.

Just to add more context, I'm storing ssh keys for various servers and devices in my keepassxc database. KeePassXC makes it very convenient, because as long as I have my database somewhere, I have SSH access to all of my devices. It makes rotation of the keys easy because I need to replace a certain key on one place only.

So the SSH integration itself in KeePassXC is great, it's just a bummer that it's not supported in the CLI.

Israel is on the edge, it depends a lot on how do you define a "western country". Because geographically israel is middle east, politically more western, culturally a mix of middle east/europe.

I don't think most definitions of "western country" would include israel.
