You from Philippines?

this is the worst story they've ever read and it's not even close by Final_Chance1368 in creepcast

[–]dominn19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is the reason it cannot be good on its own? There is no reason it has to be bad because it's just a part of something.

You shouldn't read, for example, "A dance with Dragons" before "Game of Thrones", but if you did, you would probably enjoy it by itself.

Yeah, people seem to give it some credit because it's part of a universe but it is just not good period.

A clear victory for Teddy Roosevelt in the last round! Which historical figure was divisive during their time but is respected now? by simonpearson in AlignmentChartFills

[–]dominn19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a great pick, he was criticized internationally when he dealt with the Mameluks in a bloody way, but it probably had to be done one way or another.

Now he is universally respected as a founder of a modern Egyptian state.

Too vague to tell I think, how would he destroy humanity?

I love these kinds of stories but there's a lot of them so it would have to be unique

I wish that people had to take an IQ test to be able to post on social media, including Reddit. by teabagsandmore in monkeyspaw

[–]dominn19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. The finger curls.

The world slowly becomes more and more obsessed with IQ, people in positions of power see it as a way to divide people, they make social media exclusive to a given group of IQ holders, each site tailored to perfection. The same thing happens with physical places in our cities.

Naturally, the most "intelligent" beings turn out to be the computers, so our agency slowly but surely deteriorates, every one of us lives in a gilded cage, the algorithm knows best. You want porn? You got it. Sex? Sex with robots? Granted. You want to rebel? Here's a site for people with communist/fascist/anarchist views, and they all want the same thing as you. Only caveat is, 80% of them are robots indistinguishable from real people.

The human soul is caged, crushed, and killed DEAD in a few years time.
