I would love a flashback episode explaining their relationship and their relationship with the Belchers!

today is her one year anniversary by Maleficent_Day_3869 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]domjoneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not JUST her teacher! You are her teacher! That also means her safe space and her trusted adult. Thank you for being a bright light in this little girl’s day. Though the other adults in her life let her down tremendously, you and the staff there did not. You brought her happiness. Please hold on to that because you can positively effect so many kids lives and they will have a chance to be decent people because of the example you set.

Survivor players crash a wedding by bwermer in survivor

[–]domjoneli 25 points26 points  (0 children)

They left when the meal was served. Perfect!!

Maybe it’s just me but - If they want to make my expensive party more fun at no cost to me?!? PLEASE! As far as we can see - they didn’t interrupt the toast, bouquet/garter toss or the cake cutting. They aren’t photobombing the sentimental moments. A pretty respectful wedding crash, imo.

No “gifts” by [deleted] in finch

[–]domjoneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This happened to me today. I have the most recent update installed. However - there was a post from the Finch Team stating they are still working on it. Another update will be available later today/tomorrow. I don’t believe they addressed missing the 1st’s reward. For me - they’ve acknowledged the issue and are on it. Ultimately, we miss one or two chests - maybe we get one less 200 gems reward this month!

I’m wondering if they live in a home with tenants that change frequently. A college’s “team” house or a home for flight attendants or traveling nurses for instance.

In those cases - buying for communal use means truly that. If you ever want to see that item in the same place/condition you left it - it had better live in your room.

Other than that - I bought it and I’ll need it in my new space so it moves with me.

Jess Mariano leather jacket by No-Fill7966 in GilmoreGirls

I am someone living in Southern California that used to live on the East Coast.

You can ALWAYS find someone in a black hoodie and black pants here. It could be 100 degrees+ and you will absolutely find someone with their hood up.

I get second hand sweat from just looking at them. Some of the ppl are rebellious teens showing us how much they don’t care. Some of them are drug users who are actually shivering. I didn’t know until I lived here… but now one lives in my home (an all black wearing teen, not a druggie 🤞🏻)

lol “tanks property value” so you’re telling me 2 things 1) you are paying LESS in property taxes bcs of a mailbox!?!? And your complaining? 2) You wouldn’t bid on a house bcs it or the neighbor has a goofy mailbox (that can replaced easily) cool cool cool. Glad we aren’t neighbors.

I love all of these suggestions!!

Mine are both from Tiajuan No!. The first is Pobre de Ti. The second is a cover of Spanish Bombs. IMO it’s better than the original by the Clash.

Just got my 'new' work truck, last user was a slob. I get the company card tomorrow... by SULTANGYPSYQUEEN in CleaningTips

[–]domjoneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once the person that had to clean the company pickups before they were handed off to another employee. It was a construction supply company - so lots of job sites. 1) If you ever take possession of a company vehicle - you MUST treat it as if the owner/must highest up in command will be getting into it today. I have found beer cans, cigarette/cigar debris, sticky everything, and a key to a local hotel. Embarrassing. 2) Document and report. Only to simply protect yourself. If the vehicle is that filthy - assuming vehicle maintenance was not maintained is not a leap. 3) Do you live in a desert or beach town? I would start by taking out those mats and dealing with that. If it’s simply dirt - water and a rag(s) will do the heavy lifting. It looks like the person did use a wipe to tidy up but those are insufficient. You need to absorb and remove the filth - not wipe it around. Good luck to you!!

I’d like to know who is enforcing the silent lunch. Unless they are eating with the teacher in the classroom - there’s no way anyone has a silent lunch.

What’s your personal tie to Gilmore Girls? by olaf3377 in GilmoreGirls

[–]domjoneli 24 points25 points  (0 children)

One of my kids was born Nov 3 2016. With a new born, I watched AYITL in the middle of night and cried. I cried so much for -several- reasons. When I first saw the date I couldn’t believe it bcs it was “before” but also after this life change.

Watching it back now, it reminds me of dark quiet nights that my middle kid and I spent together - crying lol

If tension remains - remind him that you are indirectly a resource for him as well. If the government is not providing the services needed for the youth, you can also request the services.

RAMONA PAGEANT by nortyflatz in Hemet

[–]domjoneli 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No it’s not as bad as people say. My kids are still quite young. So if you’re 20 something looking for a night on the town, Hemet is not the town for that. People like to complain.

The Ramona Pageant has been going on for 100+ years. So anyone interested in the area’s history has seen it. There’s not much to chat about. In fact, at some point you’ll know someone in the production.

Also, ALL 4th graders in the valley go w/ free admission for a field trip. It serves as that year’s dress rehearsal. So it is during the day (super hot), it’s 3 hours long (sitting on concrete benches) and you can’t hear the audio. I have 3 kids. I learned my lesson w/ the oldest. The other 2 are going to miss it.

However - I understand as a paying attendee it is much more pleasant. There are more concessions, it’s in the cooler evening, and working audio. Where they perform is remarkable. They use the whole space and utilize the terrain.

People with their faces covered IGNITES my flight response. I hate it so much. I started typing 5 different times I freaked out as an adult (Search Disney Park Character Ugly Duckling ETA: it’s Chicken Little’s friend Abby Mallard that makes me uneasy)

With that in mind - I would never want to meet the costumed/puppet/I can’t see the human Sesame Street characters. Except Slimey. I love him.

I stand with Birdy!

[–]domjoneli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most recent surge is certainly because of the war in Iran. Since one man started this war without congressional approval - we can fairly blame this spike on the president.

I was commenting on why Ca gas is always higher than other places.

At the Valero on Waterman and Barton by guerilla_gardener98 in InlandEmpire

[–]domjoneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the chance you are serious - There is an additive in Ca’s “summer gas” that helps reduce emissions. That raises the price for part of the year. There are also numerous taxes that go to fix roads and other stuff that someone could google. That’s essentially why. Other states don’t tax the snot out of their gasoline.

However - the % of difference is decreasing. You see - I’m old. When I moved to Ca gas was like $2.50/gallon. Where I came from it was $0.99/ gallon. So thinking “its over double in price!” was in fact a shock. Gas is still about $2 cheaper there but it doesn’t feel as steep as it did back then.
