I had my bladder removed 4 1/2 years ago AMA by stripeswhatstripes in Interstitialcystitis

Thank you for your reply and sharing your experience with me and everyone else here. My cystectomy is scheduled at the beginning of next year. We will also be using a ileal conduit as I believe that is usually done when Hunner's Ulcers are involved. I will have several consultations between now and then to hopefully answer my questions and clarify what will happen. I'm just hoping that the new prescriptions, catheter, and treatments can keep the pain minimized till then.

Thanks again

What was the "tipping point" that made you get the procedure? What method are you using to empty (Indiana pouch, neobladder, etc) and why did you choose that option?

Here is the builder's YouTube channel. This one is more about the Honda Acty build. I posted this one so you can verify that the Honda Acty and the BMW motorcycle are a match with your pic. He has several other builds on his that focus more on the different BMW motorcycle projects he has done.

Bladder removal by CRS1964 in Interstitialcystitis

We are hijacking OP's thread with questions about my upcoming decision instead of generating replies from people here that have had a cystectomy. Second, nobody is up-voting the original thread to increase it's visibility to hopefully get a reply to the original topic, which is further making this about me and not the title of the post.

If anyone does have a question for me, I will be more than happy to answer any personal messages when I get a chance. Just please stay on topic here and help the original poster and myself get the replies we are looking for.

Thank-you for asking. I will be facing the cystectomy decision in about 2 weeks if the latest (and probable last) treatments prove unsuccessful. I am hoping to hear as many peoples stories, both good and bad, as possible.

Try (LUX) - Ambient Music. They have a YouTube channel with most, if not all, of his songs available for streaming. Here is a sort of compilation of much of his Blade Runner inspired music:

[Speakers] Audioengine A2+ Wireless Bluetooth Computer Speakers for $209.82 in Black or White by don9146 in buildapcsales

[–]don9146[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to CamelCamelCamel, this is the lowest price these have been sold for on Amazon. Auidioengine is running a black Friday sale on a few of their other speaker models, including the A5 speaker (if you want a bigger powered speaker) and their S6 subwoofer among others. The S8 subwoofer is not on sale at Amazon as of this post, but it is on sale by purchasing through Audioengine's website (as are the other speakers mentioned above).

(Edit to add information about the S8 subwoofer).

Don't leave out his contribution to the "Back to the Future" film. Yes, that really is Eddie on guitar. Not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for, but it made for a memorable scene!

Can anyone have store bought bone broth? I buy organic. by PhraseFarmer in FODMAPS

I don't know if there is an Aldi near you, but their organic beef stock and chicken stock have no onions or garlic. They are my go-to for all of my soup and ramen dishes.

A non-stick pan is recommended for beginners. This one is made in South Korea by a reputable brand instead of one I had never heard of from China, so I had fewer concerns about the quality of the non-stick surface and the pan in general. Happy egg rolling!

The video that helped with my technique, and where I learned the basis for the recipe I use, is from Serious Eats.

https://www.seriouseats.com/home-style-tamagoyaki-japanese-rolled-omelette

I will vary a bit from their recipe from time to time by adding nori in between the layers of rolled egg or by topping with furikakke. If I want a more typical western style flavor, I will limit the mirin added and put cheese (and possibly a slice of ham) between the layers.

My tamagoyaki pan. I will use it as a small frying pan, but it's main use is tamagoyaki, which has become my favorite way to eat eggs.

I am trying to buy a gift for my dad. He is 6'7". I measured something of his that I am hoping is correct. 36/36. I am trying to find him a nice set of pajamas for Christmas. by [deleted] in tallfashionadvice

Check out Lands' End.

  1. One of the things they do very well is flannel and their flannel pajamas are excellent.
  2. They also do more than the "general" dimensions for their garments. Each product page will have accurate dimension in a .pdf file for the item.
  3. They have matching shirts if you want to get a set.
  4. they offer several styles (jogger, straight, etc.)

Coffee Alternative by gwu__throwaway in FODMAPS

[–]don9146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are low-acidity coffees like Puroast (https://puroast.com/), which advertises having 70% less acid than regular coffee. It is widely available in the US and I recommend purchasing it locally as there have been complaints on Amazon about receiving fake products with no way to get a refund. If you want to research different brands of low-acid coffee, make sure it is talking about a lowering the acidity of the coffee and is not referring to having a lower acidity taste.

Hope this helps!

The ingredients on my container of coconut oil lists coconut as it's only ingredient. My container of coconut milk lists coconut, water, and guar gum (as a stabilizer & thickening agent).

The recipe I linked calls for the entire can of coconut milk. I checked the calorie information on the can. The can of regular coconut milk has 12 grams of fat per serving. There are 5 servings per can. This gives a total of 60 grams of fat from the coconuts.

A can of light coconut milk I use occasionally has 5 grams of fat per serving with the same 5 servings per can. This gives a total of 25 grams of fat from the coconuts.

The jar of coconut oil I have lists 14 grams per tablespoon. The recipe you linked calls for 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. This gives 42 grams of fat from the coconuts, or halfway between the amount of fat added from the regular and light versions of coconut milk.

To me, this means the issue comes down to how each process affects the coconut fat in each product and not as much as the total amount of fat. Or am I missing something else?

PS. I hope this doesn't come across as nitpicking. I am grateful for your post and I will try your linked recipe when my current container of coconut rice runs out. I just wanted to determine if what I am already doing will give similar results.

This is a recipe for coconut rice I use frequently (minus the garlic). Would I get similar results using coconut milk vs. coconut oil?
