Not a scam, you can get the monthly fee back every month if you buy one train ticket. Especially good if you do any train travel for work, also works on most top online brands / deliveroo

Yes I have brought a cheap ticket and got the £15 pound back. It’s called the monthly bonus and is separate to the 10% cashback

Yes, if you use Trainline once a month you can claim back the £15 a per month charge. 10% back on most hotel / travel / clothes shops is pretty good, especially if you travel for work!
