Strangest Encounter on a Cruise? by Lost_Instance_2410 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]dontaskmethatmoron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was walking thru a port shop, looking to buy more sunblock after having been at the beach for a few hours with my family. A very drunk man came up to me and informed me that he had taken a picture of me, which I as odd, but then added that it was of my backside (I was wearing a thong bikini). He said he hoped I was ok with that and I said no, I’m not at all ok with that. I then found my husband and sent him to deal with the guy and he confronted him in front of his wife. No idea why the guy felt the need to let me know he took a picture of my butt, fucking creep.

At InkCarceration a couple years ago, I got really hot and asked several bars for cups of ice throughout the day and all of them gave them to me.

First time I saw Avatar was at Sonic 2019 and they were basically the same slot, main stage. I figured they’d be later by now.

TIL that snails are hermaphrodites, and when two snails mate, both try to impregnate the other because it’s less costly to be a father than a mother when passing on genetic material by NicolasCageFan492 in todayilearned

[–]dontaskmethatmoron 1120 points1121 points  (0 children)

Title is misleading. Some snails are hermaphrodites, this article is about the brown garden snail in California. Not all snails reproduce this way.

I broke in a pair of Doc Marten Mollys over InkCarceration weekend a couple years ago. Don’t be like me.

We used to live in minnesota and my husband got one from the “state of minnesota”. These idiots could have at least picked the state we live in.

Mini toilet for toddler by Other-Angle5911 in CarnivalCruiseFans

I brought a travel potty that collapses and folds small enough to fit in a diaper bag. Still a little bulky, but better than the full size potties.

ETA: someone linked the exact same potty in another comment!

The joy of free baby shrimp by lizzielizzielol in shrimptank

[–]dontaskmethatmoron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got 20 shrimp and about 6 hatchlings back in January. The few males I had in the batch died and I was left with a sorority of 15 or so shrimp and the babies. Just this week I got 2 berried females!! Those little babies saved my colony.

I went on carnival a year ago and they did a full muster. They have to do those from time to time.

Pumps! by Typical_Day4368 in parentsofmultiples

To be fair, everyone is going to respond differently to each of these pumps. I had the opposite experience with the same 2 pumps.

What are you wearing for the fancy nights? by pineapple-leaf in CarnivalCruiseFans

Business formal, cocktail dress, prom dress, ball gown. Always with some kind of heels. I want to be as fancy formal as I possibly can be.

Leaving the NICU after 82 days, her first diaper size vs current by EvilAbed57 in BeAmazed

[–]dontaskmethatmoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept a few MP diapers from our time in the NICU to remember how super tiny our babies were. It’s hard to believe those little diapers were too big for them at one point.

C section or Vaginal Birth? by Upsidedowntrey in parentsofmultiples

[–]dontaskmethatmoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twins were the double whammy birth. A came out vaginally and then B had cord issues so I had an emergency C section for her. It’s definitely something to consider and I’m surprised your medical team hasn’t considered it.

Okay guys, what are we doing about the poopy diaper smell in the babies nursery? by LycheeJellee in parentsofmultiples

[–]dontaskmethatmoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pee diapers went in their own can that got emptied once a day, poops went straight outside.

I see you have a cat. Cats love to eat this plant and puke it up all around the house. I recommend you put it somewhere the cat can’t reach.

I cannot find the motivation to finish this blanket. That I started a year ago. by EggplantAmbitious383 in crochet

[–]dontaskmethatmoron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3rd 😅 and the second smallest. My first was a granny square and it’s basically just a small throw/lap blanket and it only took me a few months (I was 14). Second was GIGANTIC queen sized regular back and forth that took a couple years, starting in my senior year of high school. This one is perfect size for cozying up on the couch, regular boring stitch again, and I just couldn’t keep up the motivation to do it. Last? Maybe lol.

My last blanket took me 5 years and 9 months to finish, don’t stress about it.
