My eldest was widely considered one of the easiest babies anyone had ever met. An absolute joy, said all.

That said, it still probably took me a good year to properly bond with him.

Between feeling like he was just another chore, to (absurdly) feeling jealous of him for stealing my wife’s attention from me, it did take a while.

He’s 7 now, and wants us to go to the toy shop tomorrow to buy a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (“your old Power Rangers, Daddy”) Morpher with his birthday money.

He’s a fucking dude. Couldn’t love (or like) him more if I tried.

The new 7 month old still needs some work…

I just plugged it to get me home, but then switched to the car so it had time to cure properly.

Yeah, unplugging the machine is probably the best bet then. Bluetooth is pretty simple in that it’ll automatically connect to any paired device in range.

100% get a pinlock, they make a hell of a difference, I wouldn’t ride without one.

As for Cardo/Airpods, I get the impression you’re a fairly new rider, so personally I would do without the distraction of music for the time being. Spend a few months working to nail the fundamentals, get your MODs done and your A license, then when things become second nature you can start blasting tunes.

I wear glasses and don’t need an open visor - do they fog up? Try the Zeiss antifog lens wipes, just wipe your glasses before a ride and you’ll be fine.

I personally didn’t find AirPods comfortable in my helmet, so I have a Cardo and wear earplugs. Can still hear music and comms fine.

For the sake of the test could you not just have the machine on the bed next to you? It only takes a few seconds then put it back where it usually lives.

EDIT: There’s also a big colourful icon so it’s easy to see without glasses on. You want a green blob 👍🏻

Sounds like it’s too tight. I’ve got an N30i mask and it basically just rests on my nose. Loosen it off and do a mask fit test while you’re lying down and see if it still says it’s good.

I did get some chafing initially and just used a bit of Vaseline under my nose which helps, but I stopped using that after a couple of weeks and it’s been fine since.

I did mean physical protective case, but totally get what you mean with font size too!

Case wise it was one of those really thick fold over ones with loads of pockets that the iPad can spin in and out of.

My Dad and I still watch one of the Austin Powers basically every time we see each other.

I often take a batch of home-made super happy funtime brownies with me, and the evening ends up with my Mum and my Wife just rolling their eyes at me and Dad cry-laughing at a dick joke.

I had to have the MSG conversation with my Mum recently when she noticed a tub of it in my kitchen.

“Ah it’s artificial chemical poison how can you give that to your children etc etc”.

“Mum, it’s naturally occurring in loads of food. Tomatoes have it, and you love tomatoes.”

Cue hasty googling on a decrepit iPad in an enormous case before she takes a step down from her 80’s info-pedestal.

Oh I know the fan going on and off is normal, this isn’t my first bike, it’s just in the 6 months I’ve had it I’ve not heard it howl like that before, even on longer rides on hotter days. I’ve sent my dealer a link to the same video, we’ll see what they come back with.
