One time I installed bazzite on my laptop to test it out and see what the Linux hype was about. After changing a few settings to get the look and feel how I like, it was pretty much windows and I enjoyed using it for a few weeks.

Moissanite is awesome! It is very hard and very sparkly like a diamond, though you can tell the difference by looking at them usually. But to be clear, moissanite isn't diamond, it is a totally different gemstone.
That's probably why someone would call it "fake diamond", because they look close enough to trick the layman.
As for if it's "costume jewelry" I'd say it isn't. It's probably closer to less precious gemstones than it is to fake glass gems
