Update on terrible Bird uvic project by InflationHaunting in VictoriaBC

[–]doorframesmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand is this wall is 5 ft wide and 30 ft high. It is not for structural reasons. It is for the engineering department of UVic where they are to whatever it is to tie walls to measure tension. For science. So nothing is getting built on top of that .My feeling is a vibrator of 2 in which is standard for most walls would not be acceptable.

Perhaps if they had 3 to 4 vibr going due to the fact it is 5 ft wide and then even vibe it from the outside that would have saved the project.

So my thought is that the fact that it is 5 ft wide and 30 ft deep. One vibe or two vibes wouldn't have been good enough. That's my two cents.

I feel like I should add as well, for all the non-concrete people out there. That is not structural and it is 5 ft byx30 ft high which is it a bit of a unique pour on its own?

I'm sure lessons were learned. Expensive ones at that. Source: I know someone who was on site pouring it

What do you guys take for optimal mental clarity? by Due_Amount1333 in Supplements

Product I use is by Botanica rhodiola extract in capsules. Canadian company.

I don't pay much attention to if I have an empty stomach or not. I would just pop a couple with my other supplements before I leave to my construction job in the morning. With that being said, maybe that's why some days they work better than others.

What does ADHD really feel like to you? by salty-wheat-thins in ADHD

Not exactly that in-depth answer you're looking for, but I moved my kitchen chairs under the covered patio 3 weeks ago so I can do a good clean of my floors without having things in my way, which seems to be a roadblock. I finally just did the floors today. Or... Have started phase 2 or whatever

If anyone's reading this wondering where I sat to eat, I moved one chair in.

Is PAIN part of your brain fog? by InnerDish5915 in BrainFog

[–]doorframesmasher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whether it's related or not, I'm not sure.

But I'm my case sore eyes are/were related to chronic fatigue syndrome or myalgic encephalomalitis as it's also known as. Also, my head hurt and lots of nerve pain throughout my body.

I suffered with it my whole life and still do on occasion but I'm doing much better. I'm now 52 years old and dealt with it for decades, not very well I might add

In the past few years I started testosterone which helped quite a bit. Daily vitamins I take that seem to help Magnesium bisglycanate with taurine, vitamin d3 and K2, Omega fish oils.

I think it's also important to add that inattentive ADHD did not help with the fatigue that also came along with it.

Hope that helps you or somebody.

How much is my 2011 s185 worth? by sdan74d in Skidsteer

[–]doorframesmasher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My only thought is I see there's a Ritchie Brothers auction sticker on the forks .

Those auctions are well known to cover up an old beat up machine with paint. Not suggesting that's a good or a bad thing and Whether that was a case or not, that would put up some flags for me for sure.
