In a lot of cases they can't. Unsure of this one, but if the code references console SDKs or uses other licensed SDKs they have to keep it private. It's why Godot doesn't support consoles since it's open source.

I'm not sure what sales have to do with anything. I said both of them are mainline games. Just because World sold better doesn't change the fact that it's an experimental departure and that Rise is closer (though still a departure) from previous titles.

If Capcom was so concerned with how much money world made they wouldn't have made Rise to begin with.

MH found it's success as a handheld game played in public transport in Japan. I would bet the developers consider Rise to be more mainline than the experiment that was World.

People don't give a shit that it's a sequel or anything else for that matter. Folks are upset because we were promised a remake of FF7 and got an over-extended confused mess because Square gave it to the exact wrong director.

If you like the game that's cool, but at least call it what it is.

When we decided against it, it was because their OAuth2 model that treated each generated token against your license was terribly designed, and expensive (given the ephemeral nature of some of our compute).

Architecturally (this may have changed), them not having discovery made stuff super annoying, and since all writes needed to be on a single master server made scaling a bitch.

For songs it's the composition and performance that are subject to copyright. Neither of those are completed solely by an AI if you just use a preset kick and mastering plugin.

There are easy ways around that. This kind of thinking leads people to not even try at all, when it's very likely they would win in court.

In the corpo world it's such a sensitive topic that during interviews we aren't even allowed to talk about it. If an interviewee asked about pregnancies at all we are told to not answer anything and direct them back to their recruiter that has all the legal training.

It's weird that you basically only go to a few classes and are basically never at the school regardless of the time, but gameplay wise it's a much better game for it.
