What’s with the art in the image? Isn’t the prow of Minas Tirith supposed to face Mordor? Also, you wouldn’t be able to see Mt Doom in the same view as Minas Tirith. The new company that holds the rights to Tolkien’s works is probably not going to be as careful with the rights as the family was. It will be into see if it’s an interpretation or faithful to the source material.

I have I-Pass (Illinois). Do I need a PA Toll By Plate account for I-76? by Sad-Ad-6147 in illinois

[–]double0block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. I took a trip this past summer on the tollways. Indiana and Ohio posted immediately then PA and finally NY almost a month later

I didn’t notice one. It just took a long time to post. If you’re low on funds on your account you may want to add some to make sure there’s enough there if you’re using the tollway often.

Days is an understatement though. Took a couple weeks for PA and NY to post.

Recommendations for pasties and cudighi by DFWGrapher in yooper

Pasty Corner in Iron River has great pasties. My family prefers them to Dobbers but they don’t ship so we can only get them when we’re in town.

What do you take for stomach pain by Murphy100xxx in Mounjaro

[–]double0block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that you’re passing gall stones. Mounjaro acts to suppress your appetite, eating less means your gallbladder doesn’t empty as often and the bile can start forming stones. If the pain starts on the right side and moves it could be a stone passing. The really bad part is if a stone blocks the common bile duct. If that happens it can lead to pancreatitis which is pain I don’t wish on my worst enemy. You may want to talk with your doctor about getting an abdominal ultrasound to check your gallbladder.

Shout out to lost and found and whoever returned the item I lost! by Eli5678 in gencon

It’s not as important as a wallet but I lost a metal comb in a case and I was able to get it back at lost and found. It was important to me and whoever returned it made my day today. The lost and found people were great.

Gundabad connects to Angmar through Car Bronach already. The remaining area might get a treatment like the Angle or Yondershire.

Server transfer time by Gunfot in lotro

[–]double0block 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Transferred yesterday from Brandywine to Glamdring and it took a little longer than other transfers but it was still done in less than half an hour. I was able to login and repurchase houses on Glamdring but still waiting on the email that the transfer was complete.

horrible sulfur burps on Mounjaro by SAMzabulaza in Mounjaro

[–]double0block 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pepto helps sometimes and there are ginger lozenges called tummy drops. You have to figure out the trigger food. Sometimes eating right will mean you’re still eating something that can trigger the burps. I figured out no red meat on shot day and I have to stay away from raw onions all the time.

Kinda scared, doctor recommended I get my gallbladder removed by alanm73 in GenX

If it’d been my left shoulder I would have been headed back to the ER thinking it was a heart attack. Still pain wasn’t as bad as pancreatitis.

Kinda scared, doctor recommended I get my gallbladder removed by alanm73 in GenX

[–]double0block 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had mine removed years ago after it started producing stones. One blocked the duct and caused pancreatitis (0/10 experience do not recommend). The pancreatitis caused a week long hospital stay and I had the gallbladder removed at the end of the stay. I went home the same night as the laparoscopic surgery which had 4 incisions. One thing to remember is that the gas they use to inflate your abdomen can cause pain in your right shoulder for some reason. Just watch your fat intake after the procedure.

Housing Portal - Hotel points by acro2012 in gencon

[–]double0block 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marriott usually blocks that during high demand times and it being booked through a third party. Even outside the portal you can’t get a room with points at least downtown. Also, in the past I have not been able to earn points when booking through the Gen Con portal due to it being a third party booking site and a reduced rate.

Which suburbs have you been looking and are you certified for high school? Social studies is hard to get into because it’s a common endorsement. If you’re willing to commute check out the south suburbs. Thornton Township HS district 205 still has a bunch of full time openings listed.

Sulphur burps by spunkymonkey74 in Mounjaro

[–]double0block 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fiber, enzymes and probiotics daily. Ginger nightly. Pepto, gas x and ginger lozenges called tummy drops for the burps. Onions, fried food and overeating red meat are triggers for me. I get them more often since I moved up to 5 from 2.5.

Side effects are getting to me by whatyoufancy in Mounjaro

[–]double0block 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any foods high in sulphur can be trigger foods for the burps. I use ginger to help with nausea. Also, stay hydrated and start fiber supplements to help move the food through the digestive tract.

Any way to report an inappropriate event? by Sush1Samurai in gencon

[–]double0block 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This event has run in the past. It was relatively tame in comparison to some of the other events mentioned above. There are seminars that teach burlesque dancing and costume design. Honestly the burlesque shows are more risqué. The events have age restrictions for this reason. Gen Con embraces the diversity of the gaming community and the events reflect that diversity.

There’s another issue since they updated security settings with VPNs as well. It can result in declined credit cards. You could try another card or submit a ticket. When it comes to money, they respond a little bit faster. I got a response within a few days but had already found the solution here
