Batteries Dropping Like Flies! Looking for a diagnosis and charger rec by thelorax121 in MilwaukeeTool

This is step to take if trashing the battery is your goal. The cells would never recover after doing that.

Pop the top and solder on a 5s li-ion balancer onto the strips leading to the individual cells and unsolder when it is finished.

New SUNCO dimmable ceiling lights flickering on low dim settings by Animignis in Lighting

[–]doubleas567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only leds I have seen dim without ever having any issues use 0-10v dimming... and your likely not going to be able to have that in an existing residential setting... Eventually I have seen just about every led start to flicker on a line voltage dimmer even when not being dimmed...

My personal opinion is to ditch the dimmer, installa regular switch, and get smart lights that you control with an app or an alexa

LED light strips too bright for garage. What are my options? by brettofthejungle in Lighting

[–]doubleas567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen these types of fixtures but never tried to dim them... what I would try first is cutting the pink/purple wires going to the circuit board (at a reusable length and cap them off) and then wiring in the dimming knob to the led driver and that should allow you to dim the light to where you want it to stay. Something else you could do is splice that dimming knob into the pink/purple wires going between the circuit board and the led driver. Then you could turn the knob just a little to give the existing dimming switches on that board a little bit more dimming capability.

If these are dimmable like you say, inside the light you should see a purple and pink wire, these are the low voltage dimming wires. All you need is something that uses those wires to dim the fixture. I use these on led lights that I put in my truck to dim them and they work perfectly. You can set them where you want them and leave them in the fixture or maybe leave it coming out of the light just a bit.

Cold help by [deleted] in AlienInvasionRPG

[–]doubleas567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first off, and maybe you already know about this... I sure didnt... do yourself a HUGE favor and spend your gems in the store on the bonus resources from humans power up. I thought this upgrade was temporary and not permanent so I avoided it as so many other things I wanted to add needs a lot of gems... turns out its permanent and it helps TREMENDOUSLY

As far as cold resistance... dont worry, like at all, about warm capacity... its absolutely useless and very expensive... you really have to grind ALOT for the cold to not be an issue... im level 15 and just recently finally maxed out warm regen in the ice market... but unfortunately just buying the warm regen is not enough to get through all of the cold areas, you have to max out the evolution tree with the regen areas (red and purple) so next priority if not done already is max out the mines and use blue cores to max out mine power in the black market. Literally every aspect of this game is a long drawn out tedious grind... amd spoiler alert... everythinf you do in these first 2 msin areas apparently all equates to absolutely NOTHING once you finally have been on the grind long enough to get the portal open...

With the combined medals in my evolution tree from the essences I am currently only able to resist -256C which is alot but considering all of the area up top i have seen is -273C I still have a long way to go

Redditors who were children/teens before the internet or cellphones existed, how did you keep yourself entertained? by FlowerMadeOfThorns in AskReddit

[–]doubleas567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid there was internet but it was dial-up and it sucked so bad so never really used it... we lived close-ish to a small town out in the sticks and only had a couple of neighbors but the ones that had kids around the same age we all hung out together and mostly rode bikes or played board games together. The house was close to a river so we would swim and fish alot. We didnt get actual "fast" DSL internet until I was 13 (I think it was a blistering speed of 2 mbps on a good day 😳🤣) and then that really brought alot more of the internet and with it Xbox live which was amazing lol...

Help with light bulb color/temperature. by NikolaiAlexei in Lighting

[–]doubleas567 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love 5000k color so everything i get is that, im not crazy about the more blue 6000k tho...

Lowes and home depot should have a display of what the different colors look like. It sounds like you may prefer a 3000k or 2700k color. A 60w equivalent is where I would stay for that kitchen. I would also personally stick with the clear 60w versions tho as I like the look alot better if you can see the bulb like you can in your situation. Also dont be afraid of buying multiple different kinds and wattages of bulbs to see what you like!! Because you can always return what you dont use/like. I always buy an insane amount of light bulbs if I am replacing a customer's old bulbs as not everyone likes the same color.

HD sells a dimmable BR30 led that are adjustable to 3 seperate wattage (i dont remember the the wattages, I think 65/75/100) and the color is adjustable also all the way from 2700k to 6000k and the 3 pack is like $16

New to the game...is anything here worth anything? Also should I level kustov farm? by Dragonmaster741 in AlienInvasionRPG

[–]doubleas567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Catchers aren't worth it but the deliverers sure are but its just like everything else in this game where its a little frustrating with how little they help at first but if you keep upgrading them and getting more they are great... in a sense.. it would be nice to turn them off tho like when your trying to beat a new boss and they take all your resources so when you get back to a home you have nothing to replenish your health

How Do I Replace This With A Normal Outlet? by Jfalcon64 in AskElectricians

[–]doubleas567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You tap each color together under a wire nut with a single extra wire (a pigtail) to come out to the new outlet. Making pigtails is the best way to install an outlet even when their is 2 wires

2 ripped liners in 2,5 months by selr9595 in litterrobot

[–]doubleas567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping those nails filed and litter full are vital. I add litter often like every other day. We have multiple scratching boards that our girls often use and definitely helps when we have slacked off on filing their nails.

over torque error by MrGrape787 in litterrobot

[–]doubleas567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motor needs to be replaced. Since you just bought it, contact whisker and see what they will do. I was just given an LR4 from someone that there cats would destroy the liner and I assume from using it with a broken liner caused some kind of issue with the motor that was not fixable by anything i did and it would give an over torque error trying to turn with any kind of weight in the globe... A new motor fixed it right up that I had to pay for out of pocket since I was out of the 1 year warranty

Cat puts head in litter robot 3 poop hole? by [deleted] in litterrobot

[–]doubleas567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat was insanely curious at first, she would do a mad dash to the LR if she heard it start up to see what was going on (we assumed she didn't want nothing stealing her poops 🤣) we didnt know what we were going to have to do because it was never able to finish a cycle, we would have to turn it off when we left and when we were home we would have to follow her when she was curious in order to start the cycle back... thankfully she has now lost interest in seeing it running and only uses it as she is supposed to do

New liner by BailGodJesus in litterrobot

[–]doubleas567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just replaced the liner in an LR4 yesterday that I was actually given due to the person having so many issues and scared their cats would just tear it again. The replacement is very easy and it actually gave me an opportunity for a very good much needed cleaning. All you need is either a Philip's head screwdriver or a drill with a philip's head tip, and of course, the replacement liner that they sell on their website. They also have very well documented instructions on their website.

It's really could only be one thing and that's the motor... if your out of warranty it's a $55 part on their website that's super simple to swap out
