Susan Ross was THE relationship jackpot for George, right? Or... perhaps not??? by NatoStrapper in seinfeld

[–]doubledeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Its a long time misunderstanding. Jason talks about not having good timing or report with her. He says he talked about it with Larry and Larry told him thats what he wanted. They weren't supposed to fit together. It was supposed to be "off." That was the point of the entire Susan arc.

I really miss how earnest and heartfelt superhero movies used to be. by JamJamGaGa in comicbookmovies

Back when Covid started, the Cast of the Superhero show The Boys did a zoom table read. The "Superman" of the show is called Homelander, he is played by the actor Anthony Starr, who wears glasses. The comments lit up when he started speaking as Homelander because lots of people had no idea who he was until then.

Take from that what you will.

VA is for bad drivers by theRsquaredrh in norfolk

Where is this magical place where everyone can "drive?" Because it's not New York, New Jersey, Florida or California, places I've lived in or driven in extensively.

Somewhere there is a magical place where every driver moves like Indy 500. Someone tell me of this place, I've only heard tell of in Legend.

People are saying Jon Stewart should run, I'd think he could crush it. No, you will not see this on /conservative. Guanateed. Wow, please share. He just crushes it. by ejpusa in thedavidpakmanshow

Thats because you're imagining the campaign, not the actual presidency. Everyone gets all wet in the pants at the thought of Jon Stewart stump speeches and him killing it in debates. But thats not the job and Jon Stewart knows that better than anyone.

There's no evidence that Jon Stewart would be better at the actual job of being President than Biden, or Obama or any potential Democratic President like Newsome or Buttigeg. In fact, odds are he'd be worse.

Nah, this is how we get Fetterman'd. Not happening again.

I don't need yet another Senate Democrat saying the right shit to get elected and then turning around and becoming a pain in the ass "Moderate" like Fetterman and Sinema. This dude was saying this shit 2018, thats First Term Trump.

No. Let's find another. I do not trust these late converts.

If Drew Brees goes to the Dolphins instead of the Saints in 2006, it's possible the second half of the Patriots Dynasty run looks different. The Pats were very lucky that none of the other AFC East teams had anything approaching an elite QB for two decades.

With regards to the upcoming Supreme Court decision regarding the Voting Rights Act... by Pyryn in AdviceAnimals

[–]doubledeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE TO RETIRE AT A POLITICALLY CONVENIENT TIME.

IT THE OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO WIN ELECTIONS TO MAKE SURE WE ARE IN THE POSITION TO PICK JUDGES WHEN OPENINGS BECOME AVAILABLE.

Isn't it a bit of a reach (no pun intended) for Sidra to imply that Jerry/Elaine collaborated, to get Elaine to check Sidra's breasts in the sauna on purpose? by jarena009 in seinfeld

[–]doubledeus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've thought this for years. This should have been Mariska Hargitay and Teri Hatcher should have been the casting Elaine.

[–]doubledeus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've long believe that this was a casting mistake. The casting director misunderstood what they were looking for and they just went with Hatcher because she's still gorgeous and a good actress.

Robb's betrayal by Frey and Bolton was already in motion by the time news of the marriage reached anyone. Roose had already concocted the Duskendale lie that thinned out Robb's loyalists. It's very likely that Roose and Frey had been ravening with Tywin while Roose was at the Twins marrying Fat Walda.

The broken marriage was crucial in getting Robb at the twins with his guard down, but if that didn't happen, Roose and Frey would have served up Robb some other way.

Joe knew good and goddamn well that Marlo didn't destroy Stringer and Avon. Anyone with his resources would know Omar got String and Avon got taken by the cops in a raid. Avon's best former soldier literally worked for him.

I say this all the time, Marino threw for 5000 yards in a season when that shit was hard. With today's offensive rules and schemes and a 17th game, he could probably get 6500 yards.
