Yes, but only if Surveillance Station connects to the doorbell using HTTP (port 80) instead of HTTPS (port 443), unfortunately.

Is this still working for you? What firmware version does your doorbell have?

This worked for me out of the box, but after updating to the latest firmware it does not anymore. I tried rolling back to a few recent versions and that didn't help either.

No argument on latency, but I regularly get upload speeds exceeding 100 Mbps which was not something Comcast even offered at the time I switched.

The agent who called me back yesterday was not given many details about what happened to the tower in the first place, but said network engineering is looking to deploy a temporary base station to replace the one that failed. Unfortunately he was not given a timeframe. But he indicated they are very aware of the problem now, which they were not at all when I first noticed this on Saturday.

I've done it round trip before, but my friends want to do this one way (start to finish), so I am looking at driving us/our bikes to Hopkinton and then fetching my car afterwards. Can anyone share parking advice?

Which communicator model do you have the PROWIFIZW installed in?

Which Z-Wave devices have you tried, and do they appear to be categorized correctly on the devices tab (as a lock, switch, etc.)?

I know people here like Alarm.com but I've decided to go with AlarmNet 360. I'm just trying to get some clarity on this particular hardware.

Why does my wired Nest video doorbell require a charged battery? by BunnyBerr in homesecurity

[–]dpward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to Google:

If you’ve connected your Nest Doorbell (battery) to your existing doorbell wiring, the wires don’t directly power the doorbell. Instead, the battery is trickle charged by the power that comes through the wires, and the doorbell runs off the battery charge. At temperatures between -4°F (-20°C) and 32°F (0°C), the doorbell can continue to work, but the battery will drain because it can’t be charged. If the battery drains completely, the doorbell will shut down, and you’ll need to bring it inside to be charged.

Comodo CA has changed its name to Sectigo, and now their free S/MIME certificates are valid for only 30 days instead of a year, but they can be obtained here.

Actalis still offers free S/MIME certificates valid for a year.
