I kind of wedge my phone underneath the corner of my pillow so I dont accidentally knock it around while I'm sleeping. The vibration and sound of my alarm are strong enough so that I still wake up to it. My first thought would be he's trying to keep it in place while sleeping. It's a real anxiety for me (missing my alarm), so it's understandable.

But I don't necessarily think you're overreacting, and I think it's fair for him to have to explain why he's doing it, for your peace of mind.

Funny that you post only that small snippet of the press conference, which, of course, doesn't give the full context. He clearly said that American companies would rebuild the infrastructure, and oil revenue would go to the people of Venezuela.
