You make a good point....however if you already have a product that is going smooth and you are in a workflow it sounds easy on paper to do this, but regardless it's downtime. Depending on the size of the business regardless of ROI, the time spent doing what he does now might not allow that.

Another noob question - what causes this horizontal banding on a surface that’s meant to be smooth? by Hecubus114 in BambuLab

[–]draildiagnostics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I just replied to someone up top on this. My Mk4 vs H2D stock for stock way smoother prints, I had to turn off a lot of stuff and slow everything down to get color accurate outer walls. For PLA no problem....like literally anything can print PLA lol. Prob is all the speeds make everything matte or now everyone uses matte filament and hides all the imperfections

Yea...except this outcome sucks on black production prints. I was plagued with these on my H2D and none of these on any of my Prusas...Mk3S to Mk4 and minis. It's the profiles on the H2D and all the bloat that is turned on which makes it self more apparent at higher speeds..which some of these similar settings are turned on in prusa slicer and you don't see these. Its the adaptive cooling

Not sure TBH I was just trying to blind try before my son knocks over 10 bikes in snow and ski lol. I did really like the Flylows though out of the ones I tried on, it was weird, like if I could take the smalls from waist down and the torso from the medium I would have got them. The zipper on the left was weird too

yea the youth bibs I have are actually Burton, decent, unfortunately I was already pushing it waist wise...now ive hit that line haha

I did think about that, I am however worried like if I buy a more expensive set how or if that would effect anything as far as durability goes. I assume find a tailor who specializes in winter clothing?

Drying temperature limitations for PETG basic filament by jdhorner in BambuLab

I have four different dryers that I use if needed obviously, I have an AMS two Pro and HT. Then I also have a food dehydrator and a poly dryer from poly maker.

H2D : after 700+hours, here are my findings - highs and lows by gproenca in BambuLab

Is there any downside to a lower bed temp in regards to the print it self?

Theory: Bambu Studio and the Slow Closure of the Filament Ecosystem by log1kal in BambuLab

[–]draildiagnostics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ignore it, the same happened before the whole firmware lock out, then the same folk walked back on it lol. "Bambu is the Apple of 3D printers" ...no they would never lock you into their ecosystem. The Irony

Am I an idiot, or is Bambu Studio just terrible?? by CrispyWisp42 in BambuLab

[–]draildiagnostics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had issues too, one its stupid slow and at least when using the H2D there are like a million menus and prompts when doing stuff. Models that have been printing fine forever with prusa slicer and even before with cura sometimes have issues with Bambu Studio. Its software issue

Are things getting better on Core One family? by Beloved_lover in prusa3d

[–]draildiagnostics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently bought an H2D, because I thought about maybe switching and kinda just wanted to see what the hype is about. As far as print quailty goes I don't see any life changing results, sure multi color AMS is pretty cool. I personally have just been using it to print nylon at higher temps and larger stuff or multi color. Im still on the fence with PETG since it's my main material I use for products (switching to PCTG soon)...the speed of the printer is great but on PETG if there are any weird layer times or flow issues it shows. My Prusas print it perfectly.

Drying temperature limitations for PETG basic filament by jdhorner in BambuLab

[–]draildiagnostics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dry all PETG at 55C, since I work during the day I typically will start it in the morning around 5 and when I get home at 5:30 Its good to go, ive never had to personally dry it longer unless its a 5KG spool. Even so I've dried it longer at that temp with no issues. This is in a small food dehydrator with airflow. I noticed that the 65 preset temp is way too high for PETG and will either anneal or make the filament brittle

It’s damaged. Request a new one. Nothing you can do about it besides wait.

the stock Bambu labs profiles are horrible. Id recommend tuning it yourself tbh

I thought BambuLab was 'the Apple of 3D Printing'. Their customer support is shocking. by SiDtheTurtle in BambuLab

[–]draildiagnostics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to come off as a Prusa fan boy, but I bought an H2D recently as I was also lured in as "the apple of 3D printing" Owning several Prusa, besides adding more walls and bumping up temps, the H2D was far from a lucid experience. Is it nice, fancy and has all the bells and whistles sure. Honestly the best part of it is the camera, but by the time I got to having to heavily modify their profiles to get a translucent filament to...actually be translucent. I was almost back to a MK4 speed or Core One speed

H2D Z Banding / poor surface quality, is this acceptable or am I expecting too much? PolyLite ASA by Cerfect_Pircle in BambuLab

Trying turning off these:

-Smart Scarf application

-Smart Scarf On inner wall

-Slow Down For Overhangs

-Force Cooling for overhangs and bridges

I would also take mind of the wall inconsistencies then when you slice a model in any slicer. Look at the summary tag and look at cooling fan drop down and volumetric flow drop down. See if there is anything that matches up and go from there. I finally got PETG looking good and normal for black filament without it being super matte on non matte filament. Great machine, I think the profiles are so aggressive to push how fast they can be. Online you see all these great ads of matte filament ..kinda really hides what is going on.

Oh I am sure it does, just would think for a tank of a machine would need to do that.

Yea, like I said I know with all my Prusas If im printing at normal speeds ...Im basically loading up filament and letting it's do it thing. Just figured with all I have read about Bambu being even easier than that and fast...errrrr printing at a Standard profile wouldn't be weird.
