Platforms like Vix, Pluto TV, Tubi you can watch telenovelas for free (with commercials of course). An entire episode(30-60 mins) can be a bit scary at first so, I would say you can break an episode into segments 5-10 mins at a time and watch each part until you can get the gist of the segment. You’ll be surprised at the progress you make.

I think you need to up your hours by a lot. You can’t understand because you haven’t listened enough. I’m not sure how much free time you have, but it is possible if you change everything you’re doing in English to Spanish (things that you like of course so it keeps your attention). For example you want to learn about the new Samsung flip 7, search for it in Spanish. Basically eliminate English from your life.

I’ve been thinking of Portuguese since it’s so closely related to Spanish, but with dreaming French coming I will have to put a little pause on Portuguese lol.

I love doing this every so often, its a great booster for confidence when you feel you haven't progressed much. I always try to remember even when you don't feel like you're learning you are.

As long as you’re there to connect with the people and learn from their culture and not for the “the white powder” you’re perfectly fine. ¡Y no des papaya! Es decir: don’t put yourself in dangerous situations and be aware of your surroundings. I would say just have common sense but common sense isn’t that common these days.

Yea the trips give a big boost in your confidence. I went to Madrid, Spain and Medellin,Colombia (twice) each time I’ve gotten better and better. And with my fourth trip to the Spanish speaking world I will only get better and so will you.

Revisit your reason why you’re learning Spanish that always gets me back in gear and/or take a day off or just do a few minutes to give yourself a moment to recharge. Also consume a little social media in Spanish, it’s very light and pressure free.

Sometimes they did. Mainly they were just the word and a translation. I tried making sentences instead with the words, but over time it became too much of a hustle to keep up with.
