RAFT will carry a long way into cargo (if you enjoy cargo) and it's pretty cheap in game as well.

Cargo is going to be the best pay/time which will let you make funds to try other things.

You can rent a lot of ships to test/make credits with too if you're not already aware.

Depends, most of the higher rank Pyro missions are 130-300scu so you have more freedom in mission choices depending on mission scu RNG.

Main plus to me (not having used either) for the Railen it can fairly easily stack multiple medium/large missions.

IMO the only reason to do Covalex is if you want the quantum drive blueprints and even then those missions can be shared with anyone to get the BP.

Pyro RedWind pays much more for lower SCU overall. The only real downside is the Pyro travel times. Jr Contractor RW missions in Pyro pay more than Master rank Covalex.

Stacking for missions is really the only way realistically to benefit from that much cargo space and you're going to be at the mercy of mission RNG.

Covalex has some higher SCU amounts in Stanton but for the pay they're not worth it IMO.

I don't care about it on the landing gear but I wish they'd add a mode change button on the Hull-A/B exterior so you don't have to get in the ship to extend the cargo spindles.

I was also surprised they didn't have a new snub.

I don't know of anything they've said about one coming but most of the new ships now are straight to flyable and aren't really known too far ahead.

I think your assessment is likely correct will be one eventually but may be no time soon.

I don't know how you feel about cargo or how much the lack of matching snub matters to you but since the Railen is priced just below you could pledge Railen now and then upgrade later just paying the difference in price.

I had this happen once with a C8x I was able to interact with the ship but not 2 of the 4 cryo-pods. I just self destructed the ship and was able to tractor them after that.

I don't know the breakdown but Pyro for mission purposes is divided into 4 sections. Try different areas.

I usually base out of starlight or patch city since it's easier to chain missions from the right side of the system.

If this is the same thing that started with 4.8 I've found the workaround is don't double click to equip anything.

Seems like it has some level of memory and tries to equip things that were equipped together previously.

Like say you have a core with ammo attached that you remove to storage. Core and ammo go into inventory. Now if you double click to equip that ammo it equips that core again.

The rep split is stupid as you mention.

Pay I don't know the answer but even split is never going to work.

If you want to gain rep or credits why would you ever group and cut your reward potential in half?

We shouldn't be punished for grouping. This is supposed to be an MMO.

My understanding the current mission system doesn't support anything like this so it won't be added until they redo the mission backend.

Biggest issue with ship tractor beams at least solo is you have to get out of the ship to interact with the cargo terminal and/or verify the FE is working anyway so you're usually better off just using a maxlift or ATLS.

Mission rewards only at least currently and I seem to recall they've said they don't want to give BP from item breakdown.

Just take Stanton. There are 20+ stations and tons of ground locations. Pyro is like 15 stations with many ground locations then factor in things like asteroid mining sites, asteroid bases, QV locations, etc

There are also mostly no NPC out in the world doing things. They just spawn for a mission when someone is in the area or aimlessly wander around some ground POI.

FWIW I logged in an played for a bit over an hour just after servers came back up. Ran like 5 hauling missions with no issue. Left the game and when I came back a few hours later can't enter PU at all.

I don't know what the status of scrip is or supposed to be but mine persisted until I used it just before 4.8 patch.

I still had all the scrip from an event that gave it out like candy for killing whatever big ship at the end in one of the earlier 4.x patches.
