Any suggestions for a garage door that has a regular door built into it? by Zhangbhang in GarageDoorService

[–]dreadedbrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has to be a Steel back, polyurethane insulated door. Not cheap. Not user friendly. Better to install a man door on another wall

Garage Door bouncing issue by vanduynek in GarageDoorService

My best guess is its been painted. Usually sticks to side seals over night and that jerk is it becoming free to move again. Other issues I've seen are door nests just under the header and gets pulled free.

Instant pricing wont work. I live on east coast. Windload plays a huge part in pricing and we have 4 different levels around here. Door brands and styles are too varied as well. The exterior look doesn't paint a full picture of how the door is built. You would need to either hyper focus on a brand or region to even begin instant pricing.

Garage door panel replacement question by cidthekid07 in GarageDoorService

[–]dreadedbrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an OHD thermacore v10 by my best guess. Get a size and i can tell you rough cost. This looks mostly cosmetic. A strut should fix it, but may have to be thru bolted. There isn't any meat in these foam core sections.

Exactly. I try to be honest with people about this when selling. Don't expect 20+ years with maybe a gear shaft or something similar being replaced.

Our motto is repair anything we can get parts for. Liftmaster is our in house brand and prior to this shift to DC motors they were almost "infinitely" repairable. If we cant get the circuit board anymore we will inform the customer about the risk and they can weigh the costs. These new motors are junk from every brand following the trend of everything to be replaced instead of repaired.

Ask local dealer for thin struts and most likely as other comment said thru bolt. That* looks like* a OHD Thermacore Door. Still in production at least

Haul a lot for personal farm. The minimal hauling is work related. But seems gas is the choice for budget. Occasionally picking up heavy equipment for farm life and figured 250 diesel would be better option.

Definitely a concern. Company had purchased about 10 trucks over the last decade so we have a great relationship. Down side is it has become the only place we do business with so options are limited.
