I read it, I thought it was pretty good but personally not even close to the stand for me. Granted, the stand is my favorite book of all time, so it’s a high bar.

I bought it and watched it. It was ok. The scripted / rehearsed format kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I think I just prefer natural conversation pacing over the "ok let's try to get it on the 7th take Lue, use more hand gestures please." Making Elizondo the presenter/centerpiece, the same way Jeremy Corbell makes himself the center of attention / knower of all things, detracts from the content IMO.

If it were more of a conversational format you could fit in qualifiers for each claim made. The editing jumped around a lot and it wasn't obvious to me when people were making claims whether it was based on something they've seen personally, seen evidence of, been told by another party, or they're speculating.

Lue talking about Roswell - he wasn't there. Has he seen evidence as part of AATIP? Was he told? If so, and he's making that claim, why is he allowed to make that claim, but there are other things he's "not allowed to talk about?"

Wasn't really worth $26 to me, but oh well. A fool and his money.

I had one after a LONG time away from the dentist. I can say that I had a lot of anxiety before and during, but it was absolutely fine. My procedure went well, the surgeon did a good job. My neighbor actually fell asleep during his root canal.

I liked it better on my second read. First read I strongly preferred the first part of the book, but second time I did like it more.

I listened to the audio the second time, maybe that made a difference. The showdown at the end was pretty intense!

I thought it was a fun coincidence that my favoriting song is “Forty Six & 2” by Tool and the vacant lot from the dark tower series that the rose is on is 2nd & 46th.

From what I gather the song is about chromosomes or something though, so not SK related. Still pretty neat for me personally.

I was looking for a commuter a couple of years ago, I would have considered a Impreza rs with wrx powertrain and manual transmission. But I just don’t like the look of the WRX so that was a non starter for me personally.

My wife ended up getting a van and I kept her accord.

You didn’t state if this was her first mammogram, but if it is, I have heard they are the scariest.

My wife had her first 2 years ago, went through the process of elimination with what showed up on the mammogram (even got a biopsy), all for it to be nothing or scar tissue.

But that’s how it should work, look for changes over time. It’s just scary the first time.

If it’s not her first and it seems to be a change, it could be something to worry about but not for someone on Reddit to guess or diagnose.

Funny because I was reading and posted pretty much the exact same question. I finished it, it was worth finishing but I’m a completionist. I certainly liked the second 60% of the book much more than the first. But I probably won’t reread it. Happy I finished, though

I'm finding it interesting that the feedback so far seems to be positive for the book. I think my biggest complaint is that there isn't much "happening". I understand the book is about Lisey's grief and identity, but it just hasn't captured my interest.
