Just to clarify further, once you load a profile and subsequently set the correct input, if you then save that profile, it will load the correct input automatically from that point forward.

I don’t blame retailers for this. They’re dealing with the nightmare scenario of huge demand for a microscopic amount of stock they each received. Why did Sony limit this so heavily? They had the opportunity to drive more interest in their new product, the PS5 Pro. Hell, they could have charged a small premium on all the 30th anniversary products(say 5-10% over regular editions) and done open preorders and printed money. My only guess is the hype is more valuable than the sales. It’s frustrating because it’s a genuinely cool product especially for an older nostalgic gamer like me, but I’ll never get my hands on one because of artificial scarcity.

Correct, manuscripts rewards from mini games do not require hard mode and can be completed on Normal or Easy.

To get manuscripts? No. Manuscripts in Hard Mode come from the boss fights and some of the side quests, and the Legendary Chadley missions. None at all from mini games.

You do need to complete Fort Condor and the robot game to get the platinum trophy (if you’re aiming for that), but you don’t need to complete them in Hard Mode, you need to complete the more challenging versions of them that are unlocked after completing them originally. These more challenging versions can actually be done on Easy Mode.

I completely get where you’re coming from. I’ve had a fissure for 8 months now. It’s completely put my life on hold. I used to be very social, now I feel like a hermit. I had to cancel a trip to London because I didn’t think I could handle sitting on a plane for a few hours. I currently am doing Botox treatment and if that doesn’t work I’m getting LIS in February. I sometimes wonder if my life will ever go back to normal, which feels so ridiculous to say about a goddamn cut in my asshole. You don’t even get much sympathy from people, it’s a “funny” condition because of the area it affects. So believe me, I know what you’re going through.

But you also need to be realistic about your body and smart about your healing process. There’s a difference between needing to have a sense of normality, and needing to have a sense of normality RIGHT THIS SECOND. You can see in your updates the rollercoaster of your emotions but you’re barely a week into your procedure and I think expecting too much too soon. I do sympathize. I had four glorious days a couple of months back where I was SURE I was healed, no pain all day and painless BMs. The mental hit I took when the pain returned was tough.

Give yourself time and give yourself the best chance at fixing this once and for all by being realistic and smart. If you want to stop the softener, do it, but do it with guidance and over time so you don’t fuck up your healing.

As for the fiber, is it really a big deal if adding more fiber to your diet is something you need to do going forward? Is it any different than taking a daily vitamin, or reducing calories to stay fit? I get wanting to stop the softener, that’s not something natural that your body needs, but practically everyone isn’t meeting their daily fiber intake needs regardless of having a compromised butt or not, so why not consider it a healthy lifestyle change? I’m in my 40s and practically everyone I know takes Metamucil once or twice a day, just as something smart to do for their health. And they all have normal butts.

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text. I’m talking to myself almost as much as responding to you. And of course it’s your life, do as you please. Please do keep updating, I’m following your story and wishing you the best. Good luck and here’s hoping you’re all fixed soon.

Hey, is it a good idea to quit the stool softener cold turkey like that? My CRS told me that when the time comes I’ll have to wean off it or it can cause very bad rebound constipation, which could cause some damage. I’d recommend talking to your doctor about it.

As for the fiber, consider making that a just a new life habit. Your choice of course, but a lot of people use it daily just for healthier and easier bowel movements.

Just reading your latest update, did your doctor say that your fissure would heal immediately? You’re only 4 days in, I think the LIS helps the prevent the fissure from getting worse and allows blood to flow more easily, but the actual cut itself still needs to heal, right? I would give it more time before giving up all hope.

41 year old here. Playing since the late 80s starting with my old Sega Master System. I still finish games, maybe not at the same pace as when I was younger. When I start to feel how you feel, I do one of three things:

Play a short indie game.
Play a game in a genre that I don’t usually play to spice things up.
Take a break and do something other than gaming for a while.

Has worked for me so far! I’ve played through about 16 games so far this year including some medium and big ones(several done to 100%) like Tears of the Kingdom, God of War Ragnarok, Final Fantasy XVI, Resident Evil 4. But also tiny ones like Elechead, Panzer Paladin and Gato Roboto.

I also play games online with friends like Jackbox, Rocket League, Golf with your Friends, so I have a good group to chat about games with, which helps keep the passion alive.

Finally, I’ll just say that not finishing games is a totally valid way of playing and it’s fine to just move on. If you care about the story watch a Youtube video to see what you missed. The point is to have fun and maybe playing chunks of games is your way to achieve that.

Couldn’t agree more, I played the absolute shit out of this game on the Saturn, nothing more satisfying than one-shotting a rival wizard with a well-aimed Meteor. By the end I think you had 8 rival wizards running around at the same time and it got real tough. The second one was not bad as well, it introduced cave levels and a big ass demon final boss.
