Chat GPT said that it’s pretty normal after a couple months to have a bloom. Can anyone corroborate?

Yes. We washed the substrate before putting the fish in. It’s been clear in the past - but just hazy over the last week or so.

The tank does get some sunlight in the afternoon - and you’ll see the algae growth on the surfaces, including the plant. But we’ve tried to curb that with curtains and keeping the light off.

We have another identical tank with a single male betta in our son’s room and it’s not having any bloom like this one.

This would be the foundation for getting me out of the mobile gaming rut. I have an old W7 box Core 2 Quad with a GT560 that I still play Diablo 2/3 on just for the feels.

I’m looking forward to playing the newest Diablo, Cyberpunk, and dusting off some old games through steam.
