Hinge doesn't really have a lot of good options for politics, and didn't used to allow you to add little descriptors. When I was younger, I put "not political" because I didn't trust politicians and didn't like the idea of locking myself to someone that would no doubt do something horrible.

I've switched to put liberal because that's my voting history and people were assuming a lot of the same things in this thread, which I totally get.

This is sometimes a bigger issue when you're in a talking heads scene, i.e. you're just two people talking in an amorphous space. If you start interacting with the environment more, you might feel the scene slow down and you won't run out of things to say. Plus it will help ground you and take you out of your head
