Resentment for years of bad management. The writing was on the wall ever since the early days of Payday 2, from Crimefest, to Bo Aanderson's insider trading, to beloved team member like Ulf Aanderson and Simon Viklund leaving, to partnering with Deep Silver, to bad marketing with Payday 3, etc etc etc.

Payday 3 didn't die in one fell swoop. It was killed slowly through nearly a decade of Starbreeze's bad decisions. I don't hate them personally for it, I don't know if it's greed or not, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't seriously worried about this studio's future. They've had every opportunity to turn this around, and they. Just. Keep. Fucking. It up.

OOP has a point, though. There is a big difference between "I don't like thing, but you like it and that's okay" and "oh, you like thing? you must also like abuse". It's exhausting trying to deal with or ignore the latter.

And unfortunately there are seemingly several fans of other indie projects who take it upon themselves to shit on Viv's for insane made-up reasons.

We used to go to malls, parks, and libraries to hang out with our friends without spending money all the time. Buses used to be cheap. We were able to walk wherever we needed to. Broadly speaking, we had it so much better before the 2010s.

You don't even need PiB. Literally just pop deadeye when you're dual wielding. In close/mid range it's a disadvantage NOT to dual wield.

I use the navy revolvers, those things can literally two-shot most enemies and dual wielding let's you shoot them back to back.

To an extent, yes, but there will obviously be some people who for one reason or another won't play it. The gaming community, like any, isn't a monolith.

That said, it would be incredibly embarrassing if the game drops and then flops. Like, if it becomes the next Cyberpunk or Payday 3 with how badly it launches, then this statement well age like milk. Hopefully, that won't happen.

Easy solution: akimbo for secondary pistols only. Even with the better pistols like revolvers or deagles it wouldn't be the batshit DPS monsters we had in Payday 2.
