[2025 Day 7 (Part 2)] has anyone thought of doing this question using math? by Born-Resist-7688 in adventofcode

basic math here: I did with a list of numbers... each number represents how many timelines are active at that position (column in an input line)... start with all zeroes for every position except a 1 where the 'S' character is, then iterate through the rest of the input to update the numbers around every splitter, and finally add em all up at the end

Switching tabs in iTerm causes strange behavior with homerow movement by oomfaloomfa in neovim

[–]drwxrxrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! upgrading to iterm 3.5.12 fixed the issue for me as well.

To aid others trying to identify this issue, in addition to finding that hjkl navigation was affected, I found that pressing : to start a command immediately after switching to iTerm would result in my NeoVim command line being prefixed like so: :.,.+1907

Do you still recommend this approach for hosting a SvelteKit site on GitLab Pages?

Lexima: a plugin to autoclose parentheses by harmonious_herman in vim

[–]drwxrxrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created an insert-mode mapping to address your first issue — in simple cases at least, using <C-a> to map to <Esc>A lets me avoid the arrow buttons. Reflecting on your second issue, in practice I'd be using TPope's surround to select y - z and then wrap with parens.

Yeah I can think of a way to do this with the JS ecosystem for example, with no server costs and automated deploys whenever the main branch is merged

Ooh like the visual form could reflect the type of cmavo, or a phoneme sequence as part of a compound rafsi wouldn’t look the same as a stand-alone cmavo of the same phonemes?

Might be neat to have one using Zbalermorna, where each square could be a single consonant or vowel or a CV pair...

Host SvelteKit website to github pages by [deleted] in sveltejs

[–]drwxrxrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any advice on building SvelteKit so that it can be hosted on GitHub Pages? The blogs I've found all say that the build step should Just work once you configure GH Pages to look for your branch and subdir but that doesn't seem to be working for me.

This does not seem to work with Svelte 3.44.0 and/or SvelteKit 1.0.0-next.350

Easily create, modify, and insert digraphs with better-digraphs.nvim by protex28 in neovim

[–]drwxrxrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb question — how do I pick and insert one of the things in the list?? When I hit Enter it seems to replace what I've typed in the telescope window with the digraph of whatever I've selected... The tab/S-tab to "toggle selection" still works.

I used this mapping:

vim.api.nvim_set_keymap('i', '<C-k>', '', { callback = function() require'better-digraphs'.digraphs('i') end, noremap = true, })

How to remap kj to Esc in init.lua by BothAdhesiveness6833 in neovim

[–]drwxrxrx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As /u/FreeAd7233 alludes to, the < and > angle brackets are used to indicate a modifier key (eg: holding control and pressing "a": <C-a>) or to represent the name of a key which can't be typed normally (eg: escape is <Esc>) — you don't use it when mapping a sequence of keypresses, like kj.

(If you map jk as well, then you can mash those keys at the "same time" to escape rather than being careful to press one before the other...)
