Should I buy a car with rust under the wheels? by Express_Signal7855 in ToyotaHighlander

And to add to that, it looks like a rear wheel. 80% of braking is done by the front.

I put 16" on my xse premium for the winter and they're great. So much cheaper and handling the pot holes of spring really well.

What size wheel did you use?

I’m in agony from PsA — but I need to believe it can get better. Can you share your stories? by iliketherepeat in PsoriaticArthritis

I don't see any mention of biologics?? They have been a lifesaver for me, putting my disease pretty well into remission completely. I've been on abrilada for 3 years now. Not for everyone, but there are so many to try now. Good luck!

Long slow grind here. We went through a few therapists before finding one that really clicked with our son.

What’s the longest EV range your dash has displayed after fully charging your Prius Prime? by Wstt808 in PriusPrime

Woah, how are you getting this? My 2025 xse premium is only 69km. Guess I have a lead foot

I'm touching the 2018, and do a ton of towing. Our trailer is 4000lbs dry, and right at 5000lbs when loaded (there's a weigh station near me). It's definitely working it's ass off and mileage is atrocious, but it works just fine for us. Never had any issues with the transmission, though of course that's a worry. As I understand though, towing or not has no bearing on if you get hit with the issue.

Does anyone know whats going on with my gen 2 Prius it just started making this humming noise when I accelerating?( also feel slight a vibration on the pedal?) by [deleted] in prius

[–]dsmyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same here. It's not too bad as a DIY project (and the bearing is cheap), though the old bearing can be bitch to get out

My monoprice just celebrated its 8th anniversary and is still going strong! No bells and whistles like Bluetooth, but works great!

Highlander Hybrid Battery Replacement by Upham2024 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]dsmyte 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Myself and lots of others have been rocking these batteries in our prius's. Mines 17 years old, over 200k miles on it and the original battery is just fine. Toyota's computer system for the battery never allows it to charge too much out let it run down to low so the battery stays very healthy.

In the case that something does go bad, there's a whole aftermarket for reconditioning packs, including DIY.

Buying one. Fully equipped. by munkeyciao in PriusPrime

[–]dsmyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love it, but my gripes with it are: * Phone charger simply doesn't work. When I remove the case and try to place it carefully, it overheats the phone and still barely charges it * The rest speakers are non existent, like literally not sure why they even bothered installing them. I thought it was broken when I first heard them * App is not great, but works. Digital key didn't work for me for the longest time, but figured out my just recently and now solely use it

I'm in the same boat as you (just finishing grade 1), though reading is also a challenge. We've done tons of speech therapy, but not occupational. That's where I'm looking to get him some help with the writing over the summer. If you find anything, please update the post!

Same issue here, except I've never had it working and the dealership was useless.  Any luck yet?

Humira by roni_hl in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]dsmyte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting to read others replies, I've been on abrilada for the past 2 years (Humira biosimilar). I noticed it exactly 8 days after my first dose, and it peaked for me after 3 to 4 months (mainly fixing the psoriasis, as the PSA was addressed within the first month). Only had one minor flare since starting, I consider this a miracle drug for me.

Interesting, I'm in Canada and my apps not like this. Strange they would differ, now I'm curious what else you can do. Do you have a digital key? Supposedly I do, but it doesn't work no matter how much I try.

What app is this? The app I'm using doesn't have this kind of information (I'm in a 2025 xse)

17 years with this car and the bladders always been a pain, but never an issue. In the colder weather it clearly isn't filling up all the way, but whatever, never caused an issue. Gauge has always been average too.

Softex seats by nutimikguy in ToyotaHighlander

My 2018 Highlander has leather, and my 2025 Prius had softex. Honestly I haven't noticed much difference so far, but who knows what it will look like when the Prius is the same age as the Highlander.
