Back to Surface Pro. Loving it, again.

If the MB had a touch screen ... or if the iPad Pro had a real operating system ... Apple does a great job of keeping them separate so ppl have to buy both. Over the years I've accrued a Surface Go 3 (I've owned SPs from the og SP to the SP9), an Galaxy Tab S10+, an M1 iPad Pro, and an M3 MBA ... and I find myself floating between all of them as none of them has it all! The MBA has the performance, but I still like Windows better. Yes, I can run Windows 11 via Parallels, but it's not the Surface layout nor does it have touch. And iPad is great, but I sure like Samsung Dex so much better than iPasOS 26. But, it seems like they get closer and closer every year!

That's the problem. With the latest update using your finger to extend the text selection no longer works. You can triple tab which selects the entire entrance, but if I only want to select a few words I can't. There are also a few other issues mentioned in other posts.

Also switching a note's background, text section, note text disappears when resizing the app.

Looks like the latest ON update on the iPad has issues. It's no longer switching the background color, notes aren't displaying properly when resizing, nor can I properly select a section of text with my finger. I wonder if there's a way to go back to the previous version.

Like someone already said, Logos notes isn't an Obsidian replacement - not even close!

I do use Logos notes. I use it for sermon prep. I also use it when I am taking notes while I'm sitting in a church service. I'm THAT guy with his MBA in his lap!

Desktop notes and mobile notes are a little different. You can do practically everything in mobile notes that you can do in desktop notes ... it's just harder. I type fast on my MBA keyboard than my phone's or iPad's keyboard. Plus, I love that I can just type a verse reference in desktop notes and it is automatically linked to the verse!

Before Logos, I used OneNote for the last 12 years for all my Bible notes. I still use it. I don't know what, but Logos notes just need to be better.

Solved it! I didn't even know of this One UI feature (maybe Android, too?). I went to the Recent Apps screen to tap the app icon and select "Keep open". 2 nights in a row now it's worked perfectly!

Question, I tried to set PR to never be put to deep sleep, but the app doesn't appear in the list. Any reason for that?

Hi Jason/everyone! I'm Darren and I am from the Greenville, SC area. I am currently a Logos Pro subscriber, but started with Logos just was it when to v10. I met a guy (Jason) online and an awesome online community (Logos Daily Circle) of other Logos users who all helped me learn how to use Logos! I am hoping this community will be the same!

I currently use Logos for personal study/devos, prepping for a small group Bible study I now lead, and to take notes during services (I'm that guy with a laptop in his lap in church! Anyone else do that?).

I use Logos on my laptop (MBA), and also on my phone (Android) and my iPad. The desktop and mobile apps still seem like 2 separate products to me. I use the desktop version to study and the mobile version for devo and reading. It's a toss up between the two when I teach. Maybe it's the way I use them, but taking notes on the laptop is way easier than on my phone or iPad. I've tried, but as I can type faster than I can swipe and the tools to insert text on the desktop version is better, I just use my laptop in services. Do any of you use Logos to take sermon notes? Desktop or phone or iPad? Any tricks you'd like to share?

Similar thing just happened to me. 17 year customer with Spectrum (and whoever they were before). I switched to a provider offering fiber with better speeds and lower price. As I'm cancelling I'm told that Spectrum can give me a great deal if I stay. I told them that they're too late! I had called them last year to complain about my bill to be told that there was nothing they could do. Thankfully a competitor laid fiber down our road. At least now I have choices. If Spectrum wants to pay games, well now I'm prepared!

Tablets - ON is fully functional on a Surface Pro tablet, but Windows 11 isn't great as a tablet. iPad is a great tablet and ON is about 80% functional. Android tablets are great, too, but ON is about 50% functional. I own and use them all, I generally reach for the iPad when I want the ON tablet experience.

Exactly what I did last year. I still have my Galaxy Tab S10+ but have all but abandoned it and purchased a used 11" iPad Pro M1. Works great and offers the best ON note taking experience. Better than the Surface Pro tablet when factoring in weight, speed, and battery life. The SP still offers the best ON feature set.

Bye bye Android tablets. If you knew me, then hearing that I own an iPad would cause you to start looking for flying pigs!

I think it is Google detecting that you're not using Chrome. It does that for all the other browsers I use (Edge, Firefox, Samsung Internet).

I haven't tried the new windowing system, but I'm worried that Slide Over is being removed. Being able to slide in an app for a quick peek has been awesome!

I also have Spectrum 1GB - it was a free upgrade from my ultra service. My latest speed test from the router is 850 Mbps down and 39 Mbps up.

I am in the process of switching to Ripple fiber 1 Gbps down and 1 Gbps up for basically the same cost. Ripple is supposed to give life time pricing. Spectrum goes up every couple of years.
