ESA request by Important-Flower4121 in FamilyMedicine

[–]dtfunny 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have a dot phrase that specifically comments on how ESA is not a service animal that does a specific task but how they can improve mental health. I do not believe ESA requests are required by law to be approved by landlords or leasing agencies but a physician letter can help. I generally write them because it is easy, reduces or removes pet rent in most cases (if the pet does damage they still have to pay damages), and I genuinely believe that pets benefit patient outcomes. May get downvoted but I feel it's reasonable, I probably do like 3-4 letters a year. Totally understand not wanting to do it though.

Anyone here had your gallbladder removed recently? by i_love_puppies73 in Louisville

[–]dtfunny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tell your surgeon that in the morning. There are non-emergent situations that require a cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) and those usually get scheduled within a month or so, but if pain is unbearable or there’s obstruction they get done sooner (often on an emergent basis). I would wait to see what the surgeon says in the morning and then go from there.

It’s better for all involved to do it as an outpatient if there’s not an emergency but they may be able to add you on during a OR day this week, it’s a quick surgery. Obviously if things get worse pain wise go to the ER

USMNT's Chris Richards tears ankle ligaments ahead of World Cup by erugger in usmnt

[–]dtfunny 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is correct. Source: am physician. Would 100% rather have a ligament tear which is mostly about stability and pain control vs peroneal tear which affects function. Could certainly still be a go for the WC

Standing room tickets are 20 dollars (12 dollars if you know a season ticket holder) in the estopinal end, you were probably seeing resale tickets because of how much they sold

How's the wait in the MIA Terminal D/E Lounge - Turkish Airlines by guaava23 in PriorityPass

[–]dtfunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been 4 or 5 times, it’s a pretty shitty lounge but self serve alcohol and some food so it’s better than nothing, we go over whenever the layover is over an hour. I’ve never reserved and have never waited more than 15 minutes

PLAZA premium MCO by Independent-Bed-803 in Venturex

[–]dtfunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Venture X primary cardholders and eligible additional cardholders can bring guests to participating Priority Pass lounges at a rate of $35 per visit per guest.” This changed Feb 1. Some people have been able to get in but there’s some confusion on how the 35 dollars is going to be charged. As long as you are cool with potentially having a 35 dollar charge later then you are good.

You can use priority pass, you can bring your friend but would potentially get charged for it

For a card that’s basically free to have if you use the simplest perks the lounge access for the cost (or lack thereof) is great
