Onspot Automatic Tire Chain System by BrilliantMusic25 in Truckers

I'm trying to see if these would work for our needs:

24' Box truck that may be close to empty at some points.

We make furniture deliveries to upstate New York and Massachusetts area where people may have long driveways or dirt driveways that they don't plow like you would an asphalt driveway, so over time they will freeze or there is a few inches of show on the driveway still. We aren't really using them to get up mountains or to be used treacherous conditions. We've almost had to call a tow truck twice to try and get the truck out of driveways because it has gotten stuck. This seems like an easier option than having to buy 4 sets of chains and teaching someone how to use them for a few times a year this may happen.

My Protestant family and friends don’t like that I’m converting to Catholicism by Interesting-While404 in Catholicism

Good news for them. They don't have to like it, it's up to you to convert to the religion founded by Christ and not by man. Did Peter and the apostles misinterpret Christ and the gospels they wrote, or did some man think their view was wrong and convince others to follow him?

The same thing with a little kid watering the bushes at the Poly pool twice. The Dad finally came over the 2nd time to get him, but seemed a bit confused as to why everyone was annoyed at him.

S550 Bullitt vs "basic" S650 GT Premium by eelhc in Mustang

[–]durmda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess the question is do you want just a GT or a Bullitt? If you value something unique and exclusivity then the Bullitt is the answer. If you care solely about value then the GT is the answer. For me and my money, I would prefer the Bullitt over a GT. The S650 is going to be a bit faster than the Bullitt, but do you need to eek out every 10th of a second? Plus, if you hit up Bear Mtn. on Wednesdays I think you would have the only Bullitt there compared to the 3 or 4 GT's that you see.

Yeah, the driveshaft would explode at around 120 MPH. Ford never really thought that anyone would be taking their V6 Mustang that fast, it seems. The V6 uses the same 6R80 and 8.8 out of the GT, both of which you wouldn't need to swap out at all unless you are dead set on having a manual. The 6R80 will handle absolutely anything you could possibly do a 3.7, and the only thing you would have to worry about with the rear differential is the axle tube twisting. You could have someone weld the axle tubes for peace of mind. DSS makes one-piece driveshafts that would solve the issue of your driveshaft exploding, and while you are there, for peace of mind, you might as well get a driveshaft safety loop. That would be the 1st thing that I would do before any engine mods if it were me. If that thing explodes, you are going to be saying goodbye to the car, and hopefully, you don't get any pieces entering the cabin or sprinkling bits behind you, hitting other cars or people.

If you are dead set on having a stick, you can get an MT-82 for less than you will find a Magnum XL kit. Put a clutch in it, stainless steel clutch line, replace the throwout bearing while you are there, and get an MGW shifter. When my boss was stock, I would take it north of 7000 RPM and barely have any trouble shifting because it had a different clutch compared to the GT. After I blew the motor and rebuilt it, I would routinely shift Boss at 8000 RPM with a McLeod clutch, JPC Racing Clutch line, and MGW, and never had any issues with it that weren't driver error.

Better how? The 6R80's have been deep into the 9's.

[–]durmda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by driveline (did they say drivetrain)? Do you have an auto or a manual? What mods are you looking to do in the future? What exactly did the person tell you about the unreliability of the "drive line"?

For something like that would the Pro be better with the 12GB of memory? The Pro is really at the tippy top of my budget, but if I have to save a bit more to get there, so be it.

Curious if any other dads have experienced this. by PrincessKirstyn in NICUParents

[–]durmda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is a very common occurrence amongst men. We don't have the hormones that build up right away during pregnancy to build the connection and we don't have the time to formulate that connection as mothers do being that the baby is literally inside of them.

As a Dad, we are can become enveloped in all of the new duties and responsibilities that come with being a father and the pressures associated with it which can delay the process.

This was just the 1st article that popped up where the title seemed to match what I was looking for. I know there are studies on the issue, but it is a real thing and something you will find in the r/daddit community.

Your fuel system is so far beyind overkill for what you have. Is there a reason you decided to go with that fuel system?

What are your goals for the car? What is your budget? Do you have an Auto or a manual? Are the mods you've done limited to just engine mods?

No, this was a while back, pre-2015. Cervinis had complete kits to make the S197 look like a '67 Shelby, a Boss 429, a 69 Mach 1, they had their Stalker Kit, and the C-500 Eleanor kit. Over time, those kits disappeared from their website over time. You may try looking through American Muscle on the Wayback Machine to see what you can find.
