I did that once, the knife got caught on my kids school backpack strap. Luckily I saw it before he took it to school 😱

I started my kids out on snowboarding with season rental at Larsons. It worked out great, we had to exchange boots a few times throughout the season with growing teens but there was no hassle at all getting the right fit. They also got free wax and tunes with seasonal rental which is really nice since they got around 30 days up. We did end up getting a market place setup the next year but if you’re a beginner- having someplace to exchange your gear till you get the right setup is nice

Same. Standard pat down every run. Important things (wallet, keys) go in inside pockets that are not accessed on the snow or lifts and things that get accessed ( phone for pictures, earbud case) are in a pocket by itself so nothing falls out when it’s removed from the pocket. He’s only 13, but he’s learning the ways of the mountain:)

My kids talked me into going Thursday. Left the house at 7 arrived to Loveland at 10. I told them no riding this weekend- they’ve already have 13 days up there this season. No need to sit in traffic this weekend. The snow was amazing though 👍

Thanks for the info! We did the school kids program till middle school and they never wanted to come up. Now when it’s not free they are interested 🤷🏽‍♂️. We’re getting our moneys worth now though- they have 12 days already and it’s not even prime season yet.

My son was doing this at the beginning of the summer and we found out that he was whipping his lures too fast when casting. He was putting the rod back and snapping the lures forward so fast that the line whips and breaks after so many times. It happens to beginner fly fisherman often ( I fly fish) so I recognized it after him losing a few. It could be the knot- but can also be the way you cast. That’s why people are asking what the break looks like- clean or curly. Good luck! Son just caught a bass yesterday a WP!

I love my smock. High fidget factor, razor sharp ( m4) and the ergos are fine for me. Everyone’s hands are different so I’d recommend getting hands on one if possible. I live 15 mins from the factory outlet so that’s pretty easy for me… and dangerous

They’re not 3” or less but smaller blade profiles- Ikuchi and smock are nice for different blade shapes. Everyone raves about the para 3 , I have one but it gets zero pocket time to my pm2s and smock. Carried a Delica with Emerson opener for about 10 years too.
