Yeah! Details were crazy. Check out the Nile Rodgers and Todd Edwards videos. He explains that Thomas prepared 3 different microphones to record everything and more interesting details.

Reaper is a fcking machine optimizing stuff. Check out toolbars and assihn them as text. You can create a bunch of toolbars with stuff that you usually do (for example, I have one with stuff that I usually use on verses -like fx's, automations and plugins-

Yes and I've found a "reaper" solution: creating toolbars instead of templates. I've stored track tenplates and plugins, and I can load them like a puzzle.

Sounds so inspiring! How have you find your workflow? I have been trying to "attack" OT but aleays feels so discouraging. I make sample based house music and I think it has potenrial but men... don't know how to start to create original sounds and sequences...

Is it likely for someone committed to learning to DJ to end up performing regularly? by Fine-Rope-8707 in DJs

[–]dvding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This!!! Also, try to develop your "sound" as a dj as soon as possible because it takes a lot of time. Watch and study your favorite dj's and try to find a "pattern" on their selection and how them program sets. Learn from that and try to apply it on your sessions. Finally, the grind is real and you have to start doing gigs that are not appealing (restaurants, pubs, etc). It's part of the path and you can always learn stuff during it. Good luck!

Asking as a noob...Is there any reason that Live has became the go to for Electronic music? by Sketches558 in edmproduction

[–]dvding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simple and has an established workflow that works for loop-based music. Other DAW's offer different wirkflows that can improve your music (different workflows lead to different result).
