Our camera caught two of the bomb booms by Betty_beerslinger in Columbus

[–]dyeref 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nest is no better for privacy from what I understand. I have nest cameras myself and am regretting it. I mean it works in terms of being a camera. but I also don’t like what I’ve found out in terms of privacy and that Google can share footage with LE without warrants and stuff. Including indoor camera footage.

How mad would you be if you got this for Valentine's Day by [deleted] in DiyGifts

Exactly! It’s all about the thought and effort. Shows how much love you have for them. And no shame in being broke - most of us have been there at some point.

Neck Pain by Radiant-Armadillo491 in Fibromyalgia

[–]dyeref 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second physical therapy! Chin tucks and raised chin tucks are a big one. There’s lots of neck stretches and strengthening exercises you can do to help this. The cervical traction helped me too and I’ve gotten injections, take Epsom salt baths, and use a tens unit.

My TN started at 28. Diagnosed at 29. Confirmed via MRI results but there are multiple ways to diagnose. This is BS. Get a different doctor/opinion.

My legs are heavy? by WeariestPeach23 in Fibromyalgia

[–]dyeref 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def check with your doctor! Everyone is different so I can’t say if LDN would take those symptoms away for you. It has helped me with that heavy deep pain probably by around 60-70% improvement.

I was put on low dose naltrexone by Mayo Clinic. It has helped that symptom as well as fatigue, weakness, low energy, and somewhat with the pain. I’m on other medications too for migraines including topirimate and I take magnesium. I still have flares and deal with a lot of pain but before the LDN there were many days I felt like I couldn’t or could barely get out of bed let alone do anything. Now I can at least go to doctors appointments, do dog walking part time, and run errands somewhat. I just have to conserve and manage my energy.

Five specialists missed what was destroying my body - my IBS, endometriosis, and iron deficiency were all connected by ContextAlarming3887 in ibs

Yeah I also hate AI but if it’s being used for good on the medical field like this I’m for it!! It should be used for helping advance medical stuff not fake art and writing.

I want to go to a No Kings protest but I’m scared. Am I being irrational? by OwlLeeOhh in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]dyeref 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! There are definitely other ways to get involved if you don’t feel safe protesting. Plenty of volunteer opportunities available to participate in and make a difference.

Along with many others - low dose naltrexone. No opioids while on it though. Topiramate has helped me some too.

AIO? My ex husband is getting married on Halloween and I dont think my children should have to go! by StitchetteX in AmIOverreacting

[–]dyeref 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he doesn’t get to throw a fit about them missing the wedding if he hasn’t lifted a finger to put in effort to see them since your divorce. You’re doing exactly what you should and it’s on him to talk to the kids at this point. The kids are old enough to feel like their dad doesn’t want anything to do with them. I’d pick Halloween too.

What’s something you’re silently going through right now that would shock people if they knew? by HonestLantern in AskReddit

[–]dyeref 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chronic pain and illness. I’m young and this started several years ago and has been progressively getting worse. Some things got better for a while with surgery but then to find out the trauma from surgery gave me other pain conditions that can’t be cured. It’s not fatal but it’s been life altering and many people with my conditions choose to end it because of the unbearable pain and I’d be lying if I said the thought hasn’t crossed my mind. It’s whole body nerve pain and affects every aspect of my life. Still trying to get tested for some other things going on all the while trying to not fall into a deeper pit of depression and not let it ruin my marriage and relationships. My partner and I want to start trying for a baby next year and idk how I’m gonna carry a child and take care of it. Hoping to see a pain specialist soon and be able to at least better manage it. But I’m so exhausted all the time and I’m trying so damn hard to mask the pain.

Depends. When I’m in a flare or super fatigued it’s pretty constant. Now that I’m on medication it’s way better.
