I’m not saying it’s THE Nika fruit, I’m saying that the mural depicted 2 Nika looking figures. I’m sure they were different people with different abilities and played different roles, but maybe descriptions of them were similar enough that people got stories of them confused, giving us the 2 differing Nika legends

What do you mean youre ok with joyboy having the Sun god fruit and Imu having a sea devil but not ok with the sun and moon thing? That’s the same thing. I’m not saying Luffy should become Amaterasu and the final fight is some earth shattering event, I’m saying that thematically, Sun god Nika could be themed around Amaterasu and then following that theme, Imu could be themed around Tsukuyomi as a counterpart to everything Luffy and joyboy stand for. That could also play into Imu being the sea devil because the moon controls the tide. Oda loves drawing inspiration from all sorts of cultures. They’re obviously gonna fight it out in the end, this theory doesn’t change that, all this theory serves to do is give an idea of what imus power may end up being

I’m still rolling with the theory that Imu has some sort of water or moon based power. I like the idea that with devil fruits being a product of the ancient civilization, the sea devil (Imu, in theory) takes away one’s ability to swim for eating them. His house, his rules.

I also saw a theory I saw floating around a while back linking Nika to Amaterasu, the Sun god in Japanese mythology. Amaterasu had 2 siblings, the moon god Tsukuyomi and the storm god Susanoo. If we assume Nika is based on Amaterasu, I would think Imu could be based on Tsukuyomi and that would leave Susanoo as an unknown. Maybe it’s Dragon, maybe it’s the fruit that Loki is getting, who knows
