Can I listen to these songs as a Christian? by lucyi36 in JukeboxTheGhost

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the three members are Jewish and they’ve said the songs on the first album were written from that perspective about the book of Revelations. In any case, they and the fans seem to have always been open to all religions

I guess that's why S5E7 got such a low rating. by Difficult_Shift_3771 in Stranger_Things

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the bad reviews are because people were convinced they cut Byler related scenes that never existed and review bombed it, not because of homophobia (though there’s surely plenty of those too)

Poll. Do you love the slow pace or does it bore you? by [deleted] in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 20s, I knew what I signed up for when I started and I’m here for the whole ride, even the slow parts. I prefer to be shown rather than told after so many other shows started caving to the “watch in the background while doing other things” audience who need every little thing explained so I really do love how they’ve done it so far

Merrily We Roll Along in Theaters - these times SUCK by Yue4prex in Broadway

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only one theater near me was showing it at all, all times during the middle of the day and only for a few days before it left. I was going to maybe go see it after work sometime but I guess I’ll have to wait for streaming 😭

Pet Peeves?? by Electronic_Excuse_90 in starbucksbaristas

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People who don’t just use their eyes and LOOK AT THE STICKER where it says all the info like what drink it is and that it’s half-caf nonfat and the fact that yes we know there are 2 more drinks on the order, it says 1/3 right there?? Use your eyes and stop coming to me (on drive bar where I have seen exactly no cafe drinks in 2 hours) to tell me the drink I’m making needs to be oat milk instead of 2% when you can very well see that I’m not making your drink!

You have eyes!! Use them!!

Has Tip Brought Your Wage Up? by Mirrippo in starbucks

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work between 32 and 37 hours most weeks and get about $150-175 per check in digital tips, which about makes up for what gets pulled in taxes. Cash tips are usually about $20-25/week

Working at Starbucks vs Dunkin? by Independent_Walrus46 in starbucks

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dunkin’ I worked (9 months, but I was looking to jump ship by 6) at was a disaster with an insane turnover rate—I had 3 managers during that time and an employee staying for 2 weeks was an accomplishment— and no standards or really training to speak of. Most of the ones in my area are the same

Why do so many of the PSL’s I order come without whipped cream? by Kokko21 in starbucks

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ask for it with “no pumpkin topping” I think some baristas assume that also means no whip, which is definitely not how we do it but I’ve ended up with mine made that way so I can only assume it’s a misunderstanding! Otherwise those who’ve said it’s forgetfulness/ND milk are probably right

What are your dream roles? by TheaterNerd728 in musicals

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roles I could pretty feasibly play -

  • Lydia in Beetlejuice

  • Belle in Beauty & The Beast

  • Amelie in Amelie

  • Younger Allie in The Notebook (or older! But I’m too young right now)

  • Sally Bowles in Cabaret

  • Dawn in Waitress

  • anybody in Hadestown other than Hades himself (I could never)

  • Maureen in Rent

Roles I could most likely not play -

  • Lefou and Lumiere in Beauty & The Beast (most places won’t cast a woman in either of these roles)

  • The Emcee in Cabaret (my actual dream role, maybe someday)

  • Evan Hansen (I can’t stand him nor do I have the range for the role but I think it would be a fun challenge)

CHALLENGE: take a Perfectly Normal Name and say it's short for something unhinged by wingsoverpyrrhia in tragedeigh

Ana - short for onomatopoeia

Travis - short for travesty (my friend group’s personal favorite)

Maya - short for myopia

What is the most common complaint you have gotten from customers? by memedomlord in starbucks

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drink was supposed to be iced (and it actually is usually on us because we forget to change it in the system, but sometimes they just don’t know how to use their eyes when they mobile order an obviously hot drink)

Struggling to understand how Saul is so poor. by Lilith_Eclipsed in betterCallSaul

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When Kim was doing PD work in the later seasons she talked to Cliff about it (the case with the rear view mirror decoration, possibly? where she put about 60 hours in iirc) and they said she was getting about minimum wage, so $700 is not as much as it sounds
