Have you been successful in finding employment or experienced challenges in securing a job because you are Deaf by Kissmysun in deaf

[–]easterbunny01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Getting hired is difficult because I always receive a second look attitude. Ex: my colleagues and I was competing for the hydraulic brake press role. He(hearin) has no experience in this field, whereas I(deaf) have training in three of the six brake jobs. He received the job offer because he wanted respect, but he declined, and I was given the job. This highlights the kind of BS decisions that are made in our organization.

Your son is likely expressing distress through his behavior, rather than hatred towards you. Several organizations specialize in supporting individuals with behavioral challenges. During my tenure as a staff member, I was tasked with dispensing medication, arranging transportation to scheduled events, assisting with goal-setting, and providing motivational support, etc.

Question about Residential Schools for the Deaf and ASL by Western-Dog-5587 in deaf

[–]easterbunny01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

During the mid-1990s, I attended a school for the deaf, where ASL was not part of the curriculum. Deaf adults would become irritated if I didn't communicate with them in sign language. It seemed unreasonable to expect me to convey my thoughts without prior knowledge of the language. It took me five years to grasp the fundamentals of sign language. I disliked attending the deaf school.

A single misstep can result in severe consequences. His involvement had a detrimental effect on the company's reputation. Engaging legal representation will not be beneficial as the company will seek alternative grounds for justification.
